Rev Robert s. Liichow reports the facts in his article called Living High On The Widow’s Mite: - Jessie Duplantis flies a Cessna Citation 500 a mere $1.25 million which burns 1700+ pounds of fuel per hour. - Jerry Savelle flies a Cessna Citation 500. - Joyce Meyer flies a Bombadier Challenger 504 worth 4.5 million. - Benny Hinn flies a Grumman Gulfsteam II 4.5 million. - TBN has been good to Paul and Jan Crouch. They fly a Bombardier Challenger 604 costing 16.5 million. - Ken Copeland has his own air force of 12 planes. But he and Gloria each have Citations at a mere 10 million each. - Creflo Dollar flies a Gates Learjet seating only 4 at 37 million. Any wonder why the Senate is investigating these greedy schuysters!?

After 77 pages of this thread and thousands of posts... It's time to share a video piece that shows the almost surreal similarities between Demonic Voodoo and what the Third Wave/Latter Rain/Kingdom Now/Word of Faith movements have been promoting and pushing harder now than ever in recent years. It's something that has always been placed on my mind as I study the Word and study the movements listed above. Please watch it in its entirety and add your comments, God bless. ** NOTICE I would advise against letting young children and or impressionable children watch it with you: HERE

1 Sam 15. . . 23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. This is what happens when we rebel against and reject the Word of God.

that is really disturdbing, not all pentecostals are like that though. I am AOG and I have never seen things like that in any of the churches I have attended. Maybe a few people but I always thought of them as "weird".

It's time to share a video piece that shows the almost surreal similarities between Demonic Voodoo and what the Third Wave/Latter Rain/Kingdom Now/Word of Faith movements have been promoting and pushing harder now than ever in recent years. The Latter Rain and WoF aren't the same. Calling them all Demonic Voodoo is just as ignorant as someone saying that non-charismatic christianity is an extension of the Gay and Lesbian Task Force since only non-charismatic denominations accept and a few even ordain homosexuals. (Parts of the Lutheran and The Episcopal) I watched the first 6 minutes of the video and yes much of the "Holy Laughter" junk is just, well junk. What your web searches don't usually tell you but what you can find out by being around this is that much of the charismatic church rejected "The Blessing". There are better ways then google to learn what people believe and why and what's going on. Some churches within the charismatic movement have rejected those churches who accepted it. TACF was removed from the Vineyard over this. The only old part in the first 6 minutes of that video was the Holy Rolling. There was probably nothing more controversial to ever hit the charismatic church then this. I have known men and women who came out of the Latter Rain movement and will have nothing to do with WoF and who were rather disgusted by the "name it and claim it" bozos. It is a shame that many of them are passing away of old age. I've never heard of Third Wave or Kingdom Now but then I believe that one of the great strengths of the early church and one of it's most prized blessings was they had NO TBN. Oh wow Earthless I just read that you were heavily involved in the Pentecostal part of the church. ; )

rlj: The Latter Rain and WoF aren't the same. Actually, WOF comes under Latter Rain. Latter Rain [Kingdom Theology, Dominionism] is basically a main category, and those in this main category adhere to a particular set of beliefs and characteristics. Under this main category falls many sub-groups that have spun out of Latter Rain, still adhere to basic Latter Rain doctrine, but also have their own added beliefs and characteristics. These sub-groups would include WOF and the New Apostolic Reformation.

These sub-groups would include WOF and the New Apostolic Reformation. It doesn't make them the same though. They can say that's what they came from but if their healings are bogus (1), their prophecies don't come to pass (2), their words of knowledge have nothing to them (3) then they haven't actually operated in the gifts have they? Doesn't mean much where I come from. I can understand a typical layperson with this problem but I think something somewhere is wrong when a so-called "leader" consistently has this problem for many years. People seem to equate charisma and big followings as meaning a person is special - this goes from Benny Hinn to Joyce Meyer to Chuck Swindoll to Hank Haanegraaf to John MacArthur- as having some special gifting or calling from God. The Mormon Tabernacle used to be the biggest church in the country that doesn't make the Mormon church right. The success I believe of the prosperity movement or the WoF movement is because it promises people maximum reward for a minimum of effort. It uses spiritual and biblical ideas that sound good and make you feel good to sell a distorted version of the gospel all the while making sure that they milk you for every penny they can. The first charismatic church I went to in 1989 believed in the 5 fold ministry, the gifts of the Spirit, all of that. The leaders and majority in that church were consistently appalled at what Copeland and the late Kenneth Hagin had to say. When I first heard Copeland and Hagin (they were back to back on the local christian radio station) I was appalled at what they had to say. I didn't need Hank, or John or google to tell me this I had the Bible. I was never taught for example that by sending money to Kenneth Copeland and by reaching out and demanding that I could make God heal me and do whatever I want if I had enough faith it was obviously false. So while we believed in many of the things that came out of the "Latter Rain" movement we didn't believe in what those in the WoF movement had to say.

Hey McLeod, you ought lay a track to this...I bet you could make millions and be a blessing to others...LOL! I can't take credit for those words. But I saw the group back in 1973 when it came out and even earlier in 1970 in Detroit MI.. The Album has sold the most of anyone or any group and was on the top 100 charts for the longest time too. They were known as underground music. Until that song with those lyrics were released. Which it went on top forty radio. May I say trash radio at that time and still is today. It is Pink Floyd's Money song off of the Dark Side of The Moon album. Everytime I hear someone talking about money those words come to my head. But thank you for those kind words and I which I had that kind a money they have. I believe that I could put it to better use than they have done.
