I read this and laughed because my dh is a #1 and I'm a #3.

There are three kinds of people in the world. On hearing a huge comet will crash into the earth in twelve hours,
Type #1 says "I'll find a way to stop it!"
Type #2 says "Someone needs to stop it!
Type #3 says "These things never happen on time anyway."

It also has been said there are three types of people in this world:

1. People who make things happen.

2. People who watch things happen.

3. People who wonder what happened! [:D]

(Of Zen archery:)
When the archer misses his target, he does not curse the wind, he looks inside himself and meditates 'what could I have done better' and a better man walks away.

Nations progress in this sequence:
From bondage to spiritual faith;
From faith to great courage;
From courage to liberty;
From liberty to abundance;
From abundance to selfishness;
From selfishness to complacency;
From complacency to apathy;
From apathy to dependency;
From dependency back again to bondage.
