I'm glad you'll be with other soldier-wifey Mommas tomorrow. It's good you have each other to lean on. Buying your mom a house...wow...don't think any of us can beat that. Nor do I want to try. (((((((((((((Sandy))))))))))))))

My poor sweet honey...he has worked so hard today, and I feel pretty useless with this headache. He got up early and finished fixing the truck he has worked on all week. This involved several trips to the parts store, as usual. Guy will be here tonight to get it and to pay Brian (woohoo!). Then started on the next vehicle in line, just diagnosing and working out a plan with the owner. Those two things took all morning, and then he took a break for lunch and while I went to the store ALONE. Went and fixed a lawn mower for a lady in our church. Brought garbage to my parents' and burned it, also picked up Noah there. Came home and tried to mow our lawn and found the lawn mower is not behaving nicely, so he's having to stop and mess with that every so often. Soon, it will be time to eat and then he'll have to take Nick home. All this on his DAY OFF! I know this is the SAHM thread, but for crying out loud...that man works his butt off after working a 40+ hour week already. I him.

Happy Mother's Day to everyone. I am having a good day so far, my mum flew in last night and watched the kids so I could go to a women's evening at a cafe which was great. Of course I worried the whole time that Grace was being a pain and Nath was screaming his head off, but they were both fine and Grace went to bed when she was told etc. The pastor's wife who spoke was talking about Proverbs 31 and how it isn't a superwomen chapter but that you can find 7 characteristics in that list of things she does which can be found throughout Proverbs. Things like friendship, diligence, trust, wisdom etc etc. Then she said that we need to make wise choices and never make a decision under pressure as it may come back to bite you on the bottom. I really knew God was saying "don't build a new house.. YET". I shared it with hubby and he agrees that we will just do up what we can here (new kitchen!!!!) and wiat until I am back at work in a few years to do anything else. I forgot to say it was really funny, yesterday I sent hubby a message to remind him today was mother's day and last night at like 10pm after being at the drags all day he went to the service station and got a card. This morning when he gave it to me it was how I had done a great job at raising a respectful, sweet child (him) it was funny, he is always gettting cards at the last minute that are "wrong" but he wrote something inside that was sweet

LOL, Nicole. I like sending my dad b-day cards in other languages on purpose. Your hubby buying a card for his mother for you is kinda funny. So, I finally got a blog going, but it looks just like Ryanne's I just realized. I knew it looked familiar...but yeah, I'll find some html soon. LOL

I was going to say Christina- well done to you and hubby. I didn't think you were meant to leave patches on at night though for the reasons you said, you need your body to have a break, the patches my hubby used have always been for day time use only. Ummm, does this thread need a new one because its 102 pages?
