Jellybean #5 is due 9/5/08!!!

We've got a boy name already (Gideon Micah), but trying to settle on a girl name.

So...for first name...Hadassah or Esther? Hadassah was Esther's Hebrew name. Esther was her Persian name.

And middle name...Joy? Hope? Jael? Something else that flows well?

For those who don't know our other kids' names, here they are...

Noah Gregory
Nicolas Seth
Hannah Faith
Levi Joseph

Donna,

I'm trippin over here! For YEARS I've had my daughters name picked out. No joke. And, guess what it is... Hadassah Joy!

Jason already refers to the daughter we both believe we're going to have some day as Hadassah. That's how settled we are on it. My middle name is Joy and Jason thinks that would be a perfect combination. We would call her Haddy for short.

So, if you name her Hadassah Joy we'll have a daughter with the same first and middle name! Crazy!

That's neat, Jae! I doubt we'll use a nickname if we do use Hadassah. The name first came up on our list with Levi's pregnancy.

I can't really get behind Hadassah, sorry. So, I vote for Esther Joy.

Where does the name Jael come from? I've seen in around here a few times.

Jael is from Judges 4-5. She put a tent peg through the skull of the Canaanite general, Sisera. This fulfilled the prophetess Deborah's prophesy that a woman would win the battle.

Esther Hope - I am more of a traditionalist and like the sound of Esther Hope the best

Hadassah Hope or Esther Joy. Hadassah Joy just sounds odd to me, though obviously not to everyone else.
I love hearing people's name choices. And your other children all have such nice names.

I do really like the name Jael, too. But I like Joy better with Hadassah.

In Hebrew it would be Yayel. No J sound in Hebrew.

Hadassah Joy was my pick.

Mine was Esther Joy - I didn't want to vote Hope because that was Levi's name ( ) .... Hadassah and Hannah are too similar to me!

As long as you don't give her the first name of Polly and the middle name of Esther.

I like Hadassah Joy as well.
