You probably should go to Dr. mine did that too and I had a thyroid problem. I could tell when an area was going to start losing hair as it would actually start tingling and have that sore feeling your describing when an area was going to start coming out. It would grow back but was pretty frizzy. I really had to convince Dr I had something physical going on as he said I was depressed or stressed. He was floored at my thyroid readings he really did not think it was that.

alopecia is caused by different things. Diabetes, eating disorders, stress. You need to go to see a doctor right away.

I got your pm this morning. I just didn't have time to answer. :)
I think I know what happened. I have a skin disease and it typically affects my neck for some reason; I noticed that this time I got a rash/redness that took up half my neck and part of my scalp (which explains the itching/burning/pain in my head). It's going away now (only thing that works is steroid ointment, but I can't use that on my scalp so it had to go away on its own there). We'll see how it goes.

You shoudl see a doctor. Maybe they can perscribe something for you.
Stress and undereating can effect your hair deffinately.

Getting the advice of a physician in this case could be wisdom before continuing on the path as you are?
