I hate humidity as well! However, I have heard of the flipside of humidity though, and I am not sure if that is much better at all either.
Mike, what is the flipside of humidity?

I personally absolutely love weather with as little humidity as possible. It's one of the things I miss about Jackson.

'Morning, Karlie
'Morning, y'all

Very dry air such as in Colorado and the Southwest. Some of the problems with "dryness" is that fires can start very easily, your eyes can dry out, and cars tires can blow out as well.

Wow, that stinks that Britt's hubby was deployed, but I guess it's all a part of the deal.

It is a bummer. He leaves the week before their first anniversary too and he had made surprise plans for them. But, they are both handling it well...they know the deal and this is what they signed on for.

I'm glad you survived the final without any major injuries

lol! It did totally wipe me out though. It took the full 2 hours and that was 2 hours of scrambling.

Hey Mike

Hi there Karlie, how is California treating you? Aren't you happy that you do not live in the San Fernando Valley?

California will be treating me just fine come Wednesday afternoon!

Is that a trick question?? It seemed so random tossed in there! But yes, I am glad I don't live there...I've never had any desire to live in that area!

Oh, just that I saw a show on a Government nuclear reactor that was in that area during the 60's that ended up leaking. They say that the radiation output was much worse than 3 Mile Island. They said that residents of that area will continue to feel the affects of it for decades to come.

It was on Modern Marvels on the History Channel and they were talking about mega disasters. That was one of them that was featured.

Hi Everyone!

Karlie, that Sonic drink really does sound weird! I wonder if they were making it correctly. Maybe they were new at it.

(Sharon sticks fingers in her ears so she doesn't hear the humidity talk)

Please pray for Britt and her husband. He just got deployment orders today and is shipping out Friday

Will definitely pray. ((((((Britt & Hubby))))))
It may be the deal but, the reality of it will take a little adjustment.
BTW Karlie, where is he being deployed?

I did take it back up there and ask, and apparently that's how they make it

Thanks. They haven't said yet...he doesn't even know yet, although he has a good idea. His job is classified, so they get few details til he is on the way.

Hi Mike!!

I wondered if the destination was maybe a bit more "secret".

And to that drink. It just doesn't make sense to me. But then, I don't drink those kind of things anyway. I don't even like root beer floats.

Thanks Karlie. LOL!!

I don't like Blizzards and similar concoctions. I just don't like my shakes with "pieces" of anything mixed in there. It's too "grainy".

I think we've had this discussion before, but it's the crumby stuff in a DQ ice cream cake that turns me off from THAT!

It's at Sonic...it's soft serve ice cream blended with candies or other toppings. I get Oreos usually. It's very yummy!

I love things like that. The regional chain called Spangles, has something similar called a tornado.

Sonic rules :) There's one about 20 miles away in another town that I go to every so often, but we should have one nearer in a year or two. I loove their strawberry limeade!

Have you ever had problems with your car starting in the morning? I'll bet you never thought it could be because of something like this!

Yes, it would be shocking :) I found a video clip of the story here - after the first video about it is over, a second (different) one plays that has more detail.

Sonics's Java Chillers are disgusting! I tried one thinking it would be blended like Starbucks and every other coffee place with frozen blended coffees. It wasn't. They pour cold coffee straight over a cupful of ice(no blending or anything) then top it with whipped cream and chocolate syrup. Whipped cream sitting on top of plain ice is just gross. Those drinks need to be blended, for heaven's sake!

Yep, I had one this morning and they are not good! Even the iced coffee from McDonalds is better!

I had trouble starting the car once because of a cat. But cats are not as beefy as pit bulls...

Our Sonic must be making them right. Sounds like y'all are getting iced coffees.

Our Java Chiller is like coffee blended with soft serve vanilla ice cream. Like a coffee shake. Here is the description from their website:

quote:

It's a shot of premium roast espresso, blended into vanilla soft serve and topped with your choice of mocha, caramel, hazelnut or any combination you desire. It's the perfect anytime indulgence. So good in fact, it's almost too good to be true. Almost.

I just checked, and the closest Sonic to me is 43 miles away. I think it'll be a while before I taste anything from there.

That's exactly what it's like only they are tossing whipped cream and syrup on tip...nasty!

My 24 page research paper is done!! I just have to take it to the computer lab in the morning before the final to check the formatting, then send it. Now on to the last few pages of my English paper
