Hey Shar Mar

Trish, I think it's the summer slumps. Even when I read a lot of threads and posts I don't seem to have the inclination to reply back.

I actually thought about the snarky thread for that one... a minor adjustment and it would have fit perfectly... But I can't do that to you...

I have no idea how much farmer's market produce is here. The FM seem to end before I am even awake.

Our grocery store produce sounds like what Bill posted though. I hate that raspberries and blueberries cost so much.

I don't usually go to the Farmer's Market...it's in the evening when it's still over 100 outside and it's always crowded with loud music that isn't even good. The nerve! I stop at one of the all produce stands that are set up by the local farmers this time of year. Usually prices are even cheaper than farmer's market and I can go in the morning before it's too hot.

YAY! I just took the final exam for my speech class! It only took a little over seven minutes for 50 questions. One more paper to write and I'm done!

There's a stand near here that sells produce. I should start getting things there that I'm not growing.

There's also a farmers market downtown every Saturday morning I think. It would be fun to go down there sometime and wander around.

Loud music, you mean recorded music. Here they have live acoustic music.

No, it's live music, usually full bands...it's just really bad! Where they find the them is beyond me. I haven't been in awhile since I don't need to to get the good stuff, so maybe they've gotten better musicians now.

When Andrew and I were attending the Wycliffe conference in Southern California last summer and we stopped in Berkeley to pick up someone else who was also attending and needed a ride, while we were waiting for her to finish getting her hair done we walked to a nearby flea market. They had some really loud and interesting musicians playing African/Reggae style music. It was really neat, but too loud for my taste. Lots of drums. I would have liked it a lot more had it not been so overpoweringly loud.

The flea market was great! Lots of fascinating ethnic wares. I really loved the women's clothing. There's a bohemian inside me struggling to get out!

The farmers' markets here don't have music...at least not the few that I've been to. I may go to one tomorrow morning, so we'll see if that one has music. I doubt it, but I'm guessing the one downtown at Cesar Chavez Plaza has music.

I saw something that just screamed "Karlie" at me today.

Here is the link. The little sign on the bottom reads "Life is too short for sensible shoes"

I wondered if she was behind that! LOL

I first saw it over in Beckey's thread.

Good job, Sharon!

Fiddle. I can't see it. I've tried 3 times and only the very top "business" portion of the site loads. The rest of the page is blank.
