My husband says he likes watching me sleep, because I look so peaceful and pretty.

My husband looking directly at me with tears in his eyes telling me that I will never know just how very much he loves me.

My first husband told me that the most beautiful sight he had ever seen was me walking down the aisle; and he was never one for flowery speeches, and I am not beautiful, but it wasn't anything he was forced to say.

My XH, before we were dating even, said to me, "When you go away, will you leave your eyes with me?"

Eh, corny, but I was 16

My husband's mother had died and we were in his hometown for the funeral. I said to him to go ahead and spend time with his family. He held my face between his hands and said to me, "Linda, YOU are my family".

For some reason that touched me deeply.

That is beautiful!

I just lean over and whisper "Sweet nothing, sweet nothing, sweet nothing" in my wife's ear all the time. She thinks it's hillarious.

Hahaha... cute.

Reminds me of the other night when I was chatting with my boy. I love to make fun of myself, so I'm talking about getting lost in a town with two roads and say "I'm pathetic."

He gives me that funny look and says "no."

Well, it made me laugh, anyway.

"I seriously love you. You're the most straight-up broad I know." - My good friend. Haha...he has a way with words.

"You're the practitioner of aweomeness" - That same friend.

More romantic ones:

"I'll either marry you or die trying" - My ex fiancee
"I can see your soul through your eyes. I can't stop staring."
"You're the kind of girl that I could die drinking a PBR and listening to Black Flag with."
"You're so gorgeous when you hate me"

I get lotsa little sweetness, but this is the most recent one.

"I still got glowing stars on my ceiling tho. Every night I made a wish on them, and you came true."

Totally made me giggle.

Being a guy, and therefore rubbish at romance what context was that one in? Had you just say no to him when he asked you out?

"You are my lily among the thorns." Was the greatest sweet nothing I have ever heard in my life.

"I'll marry you beautiful" A good friend of mine told me this one. There's a bit of a story behind it though.

Okay heres mine:

During a hug I said "Hug me and never let me go."

His response was "As long as you can remember this moment I'll always hold you in my arms."

My fella was feeling kinda down. So I reminded him that I love him, and I told him I couldn't help myself. Then he said "That's why I'm here to help you."

Even in his weird moods, he still makes me "aaaaaawww!"

I have to rely on my best friend for my ego trips hahaha.

But if he's feeling goofy, sometimes he'll say something like "your eyes remind me of chocolate and chocolate is nice."

I don't know if he was being sincere or if he was just hinting at me to buy him food.

I wonder if we have the same best friend! Mine will say, "Mmmm...I love the smell of fresh baked cookies." Then about ten minutes later he'll say, "You make the best cookies in the whole wide world." Then about ten minutes after that he'll say, "Don't you think your house would smell good with that fresh baked goods scent to it?" Finally I just look at him and say, "Do you want me to make you some cookies?" LOLOL The innocent look he tosses me is priceless! Me? Never!

As for the topic discussion, recently I had a huge fight with someone and was basically told I wasted his time. I called a buddy of mine and he said, "You aren't a waste of time doll, and anyone who says different obviously needs a new clock." It made me feel better, that's for sure. *grin*
