ORIGINAL: tracydolls christmas is a pagan holiday mixed with Christianity. I'm sorry that you have allowed yourself to be cheated in such a way, but at my house it has always been and will always be a celebration of the incarnation of God the Son, not a look back at an event at the Jewish Temple which was a mere shadow of Him. Your weak attempts to make my celebration something other than it is will not work. I will not allow my Joy of the Lord be stolen by anyone, regardless of their sincerity.

Happy Official Teacher Appreciation Day! As normal, our teachers were appreciated with fried chicken and cornbread and cobbler at lunch time.

I am currently rounding up movies for my Christmas in July film festival, where i'll evenly distribute all the Christmas movies I have throughout the month of July to watch to transition into what i call the Christmas half of the year. Here's what I have so far: Home Alone (just the first one, all others are inferior) Elf Christmas with The Kranks Polar Express Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer Miracle on 34th Street Deck The Halls Christmas Vacation Any other suggestions?

Depends on if the version of Miracle on 34th is the original or a remake. If it's the original version you might also enjoy Christmas in Connecticut with Barbara Stanwick. It's a very good movie.

I somehow thought this thread was for fun...in jest...But it seems some people are taking it seriously.

It's the remake that i got for 2 bucks on VHS at a library sale. I haven't even watched it yet. Is it that bad?

If I remember correctly, the one with Natalie Wood and Maureen O'Hara is not the original one either.

Valentine Davies' 1947 novel Miracle on 34th Street became a movie the same year, earning the author an Academy Award for the best original story. and then I found this on wiki There are four remakes of the movie, as well as a Broadway musical: 1955 1959 1963 1973 1994

I spent the whole night before Mothers Day with my first husband and the part of the night after Mothers Day with him, begging him to come back to me and giving him every reason I could think of. I am remarried. Did I sin?
