Kind of goes along with what you just wrote (about which, I'm speechless).

WOW Lisa that was awesome.............thank you for sharing.

You know one of the things which makes me angry at myself..........is why do I focus on the captain who didn't pick me instead of noticing the one who did...........and the one who did pick me........he did so because he has seen me play and knows I will be instrumental in victory.

Exactly!

I posted a comment, but Steve needs to approve it first, but it was along the lines of thanking him for sharing what so many need to hear right now. It's good. He's in Korea right now, so I don't know when it'll get approved. But, I'm sure it will - eventually.

I love his journals - they are always SO timely.

I am NOT feeling well today. Not sure why either - just achy and my head hurts and weak, etc. I want to be in bed, but that's not happening. I probably won't be around much at all today - unless the meds really kick in fast.

oh, a daily joy - getting to spend an evening out with my best friend on Saturday night. I don't know how many years it's been since we've been able to do this - for an entire evening, where neither one of us had to go running off into work. In fact, now that I think about it - it may be the first time we've been able to do this at all! (we're seeing the Rays play, and then the Commodores afterwards)

Hope you have fun Saturday Lisa!

Must be the night for it... I'm going out to dinner with 2 of my "nephews" and their families and my kids Sat. night. I put nephews in quotes because they are actually my Ex's sister's kids, I still think of them as mine too, but the "family" doesn't . These two boys are the only "family" that have made any effort to contact my sons (other than to create problems) since their Dad died. I'm looking forward to it, and hoping it goes well!

Here's a huge praise! One of my brothers here in my building just came and prayed over me, and I am feeling fine! The aches and pains are gone, the nauseated feeling is gone, the weakness is gone. I'm healed! Praise God!

Now you all know that I'm FAR from one who goes around in this manner, but this was instant - truly instant - I felt the spirit come through him and through me and now I am healed for today.

Praise God!

Praise the Lord Lisa...........Serving a God who is the same today as he was in the yesterdays...........he healed then and he heals now.......what a joy to be his bond servant.

I prayed for someones healing last night.........

I was tutoring and the mother, who speaks little English, was ill.

As I was working with the child I felt God prompting me to pray for her.

We are not allowed to talk about the Lord when tutoring but God didn't seem to care about this rule as he kept speaking to my spirit he wanted me to pray for her.

Finally I asked her if she minded if I prayed for her.........

Not understanding English she looked confused. Her son, whom I tutor, didn't know how to translate "prayer" into Spanish so I got on my knees, put my hands together and acted out praying.

She understood and eagerly said Si.

I prayed. First in English then in the Spirit..........

Funny though she listened when I prayed in English it was clear she did not know what I was praying........BUT when I began to pray in the Spirit, she began to cry as she rocked back and forth, raising her hands and praying..........

We may not have spoken the same language but in the Spirit we prayed as one.

It was a really cool experience..........different then I have ever had before.........Amazing how in God our differences no longer are barriers.

After we were done praying she got up and gave me a huge hug.....her eyes were shinning and her smile spoke volumes.

I don't know if she was physically healed but I know she was encouraged and uplifted.........

I am so thankful I listened to the Lord and prayed.......I am also thankful I didn't let my concern she would think I was crazy stop me from praying in the Spirit.......for God knew that was when our spirits would become one before Him.

Thank you Father for filling our days with joy..........For using us.......and for being the same today as you have always been........I love you.

Okay, just have to tell you about the incredibly awesome man I met last night - through my orientation. He's a Navy pilot who is now working in CENTCOM. He's done the disaster work with professional sports - EVERYTHING that I've dreamed of - for years. I was dying as we were talking. Anyway, we're going to stay in touch.

It was FUN!!!!!!!!!!

Cool Lisa. I hope the two of you can form a good friendship- hey and maybe even work together in disaster work one day soon. Hmm, not that I hope for any idsasters, just that you could prepare for them; that doesn't sound much better, does it? But you know what I mean- I hope .

Hey all. I would appreciate prayers from anyone that thinks of it/us, for that dinner I'll be having with my nephews this weekend (hopefully that comment on pryaer was at least partially for me Joy ). For pure motives (on all our parts) and true friendship/family ties. This family relationship has been so strained since my Ex died, I would love for this to be a first step in bridging that gap.

HA! You could just leave it like that and be correct Joy.

I love the word interesting - it is always so, so interesting, lol.

Oh, and believe me, he is VERY interesting! LOLOL

He's replied saying that he's looking forward to working with me, and thanked ME for all that I do - unbelievable. He was in Iraq last year - and was instrumental in getting some of the injured kids back to the US for treatment.

As I said, amazingly interesting man.

this was completely random! I pulled in and then he pulled in next to me - but since I had to get all my stuff together, he walked in ahead of me. I said why I was there, and he's like "well then, I guess I should follow you". And we went to the table where we always have our meeting. Anyway, as I was talking about disaster stuff, he piped up with a WEE bit of his background through the Navy. After everyone left, that's when I found out exactly all that he's done, and I was wanting to

Would his eating a piece of cheesecake really make him more interesting to you Tina?

Yes because it would mean a moment of victory.

And I like victories.

And to answer that question (and totally ignoring the fact that you deleted your post)....I am not putting words in your mouth. If I had proper connections, I'd arrange to put cheesecake in your mouth, but not words.
