I used to always do the fireworks at Tampa Stadium with the Rowdies - 50K+ inside with another 100K outside the stadium. It was amazing!!!!!! We were considered to have the best show in the SE.

Well, fast forward to 2001, and we did the same thing with the Mutiny. This time it was at Raymond James Stadium (home of the Buccaneers). Anyway, we had a 90 minute lightning delay with a torrential storm in the area. The lightning was SO intense that when it hit the stadium one time, it set off several rows of the inside fireworks. They were going off in the torrential rain! I was above them (in the press box), so looking down on this is something that I will NEVER forget! It was AWESOME!!!! In fact, that alone was almost better than the show we got after the game when it finally cleared up.

Yes, God does put on a spectacular show. The fireworks can be called if it is stormy or if the wind is blowing more that 15 mph, which would cause the fireworks to come down outside of the drop zone.

Fireworks don't get better than Disney. This past NYE I spent 14 hours doing crowd control...the hardest work I've ever done in my life....and all the frustration was worth it because I had prime viewing for the show....right in front of the castle, but standing on a box like thing 1 ft away from the masses (I was in the grassy area where guests couldn't stand).

It was amazing. Fireworks lasted in full force for about 30 minutes, surrounding the entire park. Anywhere you looked there were fireworks.

I imagine that Disney would go all out on fireworks.

The pops concert before the fireworks is also spectacular. The have an Air Force flyover when they ply the National Anthem. The goal is to have the planes come over as the orchestra hits the last cord. Usually they are off, but every now and then they hit it on the money.

The kind of plane depends on what was at the air force base at the time. Over the years they have had a diamond formation of 4 fighter planes, to B-1s to KC-135 tankers. The planes come over low and fast, with full after burners on. At times you could feel the air waves from the plane.

Then the grand finale is the 1812 Overture. They bring in about 8 army cannon and use all the downtown church bells. It is very stirring.

Yep, Disney has a fireworks show every night. Honestly, I've always been disappointed from going to non Disney fireworks displays. It's seems I got spoiled....

And I've heard the 1812 overture with cannons and a carillion (bell) tower before. It was sooo cool!

You know, truth be told, I like Key Lime Pie much better than cheesecake, but if there isn't any KLP, then I will have cheesecake.

For the longest time I didn't think I liked cheesecake, but then someone got me to try some, and I found out that I loved it! But, KLP is better.

My frustrations at work continue. Please be praying for the job situation. I'm now beginning to question if God wants me to stay with the college.

Praying Lisa for your work situation.

Speaking of work.........have I ever mentioned how mean my co-workers can be to me?

Mike came down to chat and to introduce me to 10 little fishes he had in a bowl. We talked while watching the fish for a little while.

I was getting quite fond of the fish watching them swim around the bowl....So carefree without a worry in the world they seemed to be living the perfect life.

Finally Mike stands up to leave saying he needs to get the fish to lunch.......

"To lunch?", I questioned " You are taking the fish with you to lunch?"

"No" he replied "I am taking them to the bullfrogs to be lunch."

WHATTTTTT??????????????????

Those poor, carefree, happy fish swimming around in the bowl with such pleasure are at this very moment being eaten alive by some mean bullfrogs........

Mike is mean
