Good morning everyone.
I am headed to Wichita today. They have a museum of old buildings which is called Cowtown, to tie this into yesterdays topic.
I am going for the annual River Festival. Tonight I will eat a Cajun dinner with hot bread pudding and listen to some jazz.

Then Friday will be free ice cream and more music. And Saturday will be a pops concert with the 1812 Overture with actual cannons and fireworks.

I love jazz music and big band.........fireworks.......goodness Gary you are sure making my weekend sound rather boring and domesticated.

The big finale is a fireworks show with music broadcast over the radio. It is spectacular. The should be 80,000 to 100,000 people downtown for the event. Getting home can be time consuming, though.

Reminds me of the one (and only never to do again)time I went to the taste of Chicago on the 4th to watch the fireworks.
