You are still here .......yippie......

I was planning on going crosscountry skiing today but my sister, who's house was hit in the tornado, wants me to come over and see all the work they have done on her house.......she is so excited I didn't have the heart to say no so I am going........

It will be nice since I haven't seen her in over a month......we are going to go around the house so she can show me stuff, go shopping for paint colors, and then do dinner together........it should be a nice day.

I may take the girls sledding tomorrow after church........the snow is so pretty and who knows how many more times we will have to get out and sled.......though K wants me to take the iceskating instead so who knows which we will do.......

My family is close in retrospect. I am close to both my mother and my brother.

Well John....maybe she just thought that would be like saying the sky is blue....or that water is wet....some things are just a given, right?

What is John's saying........something like no matter what we look like everyone is attractive to at least one person........I would say if this is true for attractiveness then it is probably true for cuteness also right? And if so this question must be addressed....

If everyone is cute to at least one person and the person themselves belives they are cute wouldn't that mean it is possible no one else does?

Sadness. That may explain why I write all these emails and no one ever answers them

John! Only you can make the choice to be sad .....

Not only that, you know we all love you. Otherwise all these people wouldn't be converging on your house in June. Aren't you lucky!!

I am procrastinating!! No, really I'm not ...... went to the store. Bought the groceries. Had to feed the mancub. (I love that phrase, so I stole it. Just don't remember who I'm stealing it from. Whoever you are, thank you.) Somebody I know is having Mexican for lunch, which sounds really good. But we had sandwiches. I would much rather have had Mexican for lunch. *sigh* But if I swung by and bought some for me, the boy would have taken it and eaten it and eaten his sandwich too. Which would have left me with a sandwich. And a slight feeling of disappointment.

I am very afraid for these teenage years.......

Other than that, I must say that today is a beautiful day! The weather is so perfect! Everyone who is here in town for the Super Bowl is no doubt enjoying themselves to the max!

of course this all means that Phoenix will be subjected to yet another gigantic influx of people because of this ....

Okay, off to the kitchen to prepare that yummy stuff! Mmmmmm

Good morning!!!!

It's still raining here. I know I will see some beauty through all this ..... it definitely gives a different look to the desert. And it means before long, the mountains will be filled with greenery and flowers. It's so beautiful!!

How was your weekend?

It was a ... good... weekend. A little strange though. For about 20 years my Ex husband and I watched the Super Bowl with another couple that were pretty much our "best friends", you know, the kind you raise your kids with, the two guys hunted together, we planed our retirement with, etc. Then "the divorce" happened. Even though these two were people I grew up with, I pretty much backed up from the relationship because the two guys were such good hunting buddies and I didn't want to interfere with their relationship- well, my Ex died last July and during the funeral etc. this couple and I "connected" again, "M" has been a great friend to my kids while going through the stuff with their family too. So, we decided to get together for "the game". We had a great time; good food, lots of laughs, but it also felt like "someone" was missing! I had this strange love/hate relationship with my Ex, but yesterday as we laughed and told the "old" stories again, I had my share of mixed emotions! LOL, I have always said my Ex was the "man I hated to love" . But perhaps it was a time of healing as well, life goes on after all.

How about you? Did you have a good weekend too?

Is Phoenix recouperating Sam?

Yes probably.......and it is nice God is giving you opportunities to remember the good times with him.....

I didn't watch the game. My dad was a huge football fan and we always got together as a family to watch the game..........this year my sister dara had people over but I decided against going.

Instead I took the girls to chuckie cheeses and we had a blast.........We played games, ate pizza and once the tokens ran out the girls played in the tunnels and slides........and then we went home and watched snow buddies.........it was a great super bowl Sunday.....
