Yes, as soon as it's released, you all will be able to see it - that's going to be fun.

Today's joy is realizing that God really IS bringing about all my desires and passions.

joy2give2u -> RE: Dailyjoy (7/3/2008 12:04:02 PM)

I have been so blessed today

Last night I spent four hours with the Lord......talking to him, reading the bible, writing in my journal, being still before him and listening...........and he showed me some things which challenge me and are so not me or so I thought.

Then today he used another poster to draw me back to see who I was and to reveal to me just how far he has brought me..........the old dawn, though I thought I had a strong walk with the Lord, would never have had the courage or strength to do what God is telling me to do........but you know what.......the new dawn does......not that I have more courage or strength but it no longer matters because my life does not belong to me........it belongs to the Lord and I am no longer afraid.

God amazes me........as I walk in obedience building his temple I can see how busy he is working on building my house......and you know what I love it.......It fits me well and I sure do love the open ceiling........[:D][:D][:D]

That is cool Lisa... made me smile first thing this morning, thanks!

hotsaucygma -> RE: Dailyjoy (7/8/2008 5:02:14 PM)

Hell-o-O-O-O- O -O... anyone home???

Hmm, guess not... [:D]

It's been pretty darn quiet in here today...

mutinywxgirl -> RE: Dailyjoy (7/8/2008 5:04:27 PM)

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing just a few minutes ago......

hotsaucygma -> RE: Dailyjoy (7/8/2008 5:11:19 PM)

So what's up with this, hmmm Lisa [:D]. Are we the only ones hanging out and working today??

mutinywxgirl -> RE: Dailyjoy (7/8/2008 5:14:26 PM)

I think so! LOL

I actually have not felt well much of the day - dad used some old sauce for the chicken on Sunday, and both my brother and I felt sick from eating it last night.

I've got disaster training again tonight - we're doing a tabletop exercise on a tornado coming through our area - and how we would respond to it as CERT members. This is going to be GREAT!!!!!

hotsaucygma -> RE: Dailyjoy (7/8/2008 5:16:16 PM)

Sounds right up your alley! [:D]

Sometimes I feel like a tornado hit me, but I'm glad that actually I do not live in an area prone to them. I'll take the snow and cold of our winters any day...

mutinywxgirl -> RE: Dailyjoy (7/8/2008 5:18:48 PM)

LOL - yep, it sure is right up my alley! This is the monthly meeting of our group - they're all just a bit "odd" - all of us disaster folks are like that......

Oh man, I would LOVE to have the cold of your winters - truly, I do love the cold weather! So, what am I doing living down here? LOL

Once the family is gone and I have my professional teaching certificate, I can move anywhere. [:)] God is SO good! [:)]

mutinywxgirl -> RE: Dailyjoy (7/10/2008 6:52:28 AM)

Okay - maybe this should go into the smile thread too, but I'll share here. The Florida Dept of Ed has agreed to change my certification from Math 6-12 to Math 5-9 - which has lesser requirements and will allow me to qualify automatically. I'm missing one class for 6-12 (Linear Algebra). They approved it yesterday, so are now going to start working on all my transcripts this week. Please pray that I get the word soon - the start of school (for teachers) in Hillsborough County (where I want to work) is Aug 8th! Thankfully, before that, I can work all I want at Hospice, which is a huge blessing - because not having the two incomes is REALLY hard right now. I won't get my first extra check until the end of the month though - and I have a LOT of things that are due.

I know God will supply - this is really stretching my faith.

.... I hear ya on the bill thing, Lisa!

I will be glad when fall season starts at the college... I took a huge paycut when I got this job... the fall season means I can bring in extra money by 'grading' some on-line classes....

It's very cool to have opportunities like that... it means that I don't have to find another job AWAY from my home....

God is truly blessing your life!!! Soo good to see!!!!

Those bills will just have to wait.... there's nothing else that can be done.... ya know? [;)]

mutinywxgirl -> RE: Dailyjoy (7/10/2008 9:06:58 AM)

Oh, *I* know that - but try telling that to my father who expects $$$ every month, and them getting used to me also paying for groceries and other things that I would pick up on the way home from work - when they would call and ask me. Now that I'm asking for that $$$ back, they are freaking out, saying they never asked for such things. Ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for the added stress!!

Well, my brother talked to dad during the day and made him realize that I was right and that dad was wrong, and then got all apologetic with my brother. I've not heard anything though, but will let it slide.

My family. Ugh.

Okay, today's joy is that there are TWO math positions at the middle school that is one mile from my house - I used to go there, and can walk there, if I'd like. [:)]

That is a very cool Dailyjoy Lisa! Will pray for those transcripts and any and all paperwork to go through quickly so you will be eligible for one of them!

As for the money situation, I can relate. Not with family issues, but just the occasional lack of sufficient funds for all the bills! And losing an income would be a disaster... good thing you are a disaster responding expert, hummm? [:D]. Seriously, I know it is hard! Will pray for your financial situation too.

My daily joy... I'm not sure today! All life's little blessings I guess. Family, friends, health, a job... yeah, life in general I guess.

Daily Joy... seeing Joy posting again. Don't stay away for too long in between posts Joy!!

Another dailyjoy... I know I have said it a time or two before, but my Boys and my Grandchildren truly are a daily joy. I so often feel so truly blessed to be here and able to spend time with them. The weekend before this last one, I had both of the grandkids spend the night on Sat. night - Mom and Dad went out together for a change [:D]. I had bought a 10 foot soft side swimming pool, Mom forgot to put their swimsuits in, but at 4 and almost 2 I figured it wasn't really a problem- they got to go skinny-dippin! My Gdtr was so funny, she has a pair of hot pink Crocks... she would not take them off for anything! So she went swimming in just her Crocks and a smile- which made Grandma laugh[:D]! Those two are just so dear... I am a lucky Grandma! And those two boys of mine, well they are great young men, I am a lucky Mom too.
