Appreciate you adding my brother Vernon to your list. I talk to Jay Simmons regularly. He does live in NC and is in bad health.

There are two bass singers that should be added. Johnny Yates that sang with the LeFevre brothers and I believe James McCoy in the BTS Quartet and also B.C. (Bentley)Robinson that sang with the Homeland Harmony Quartet with Otis and James McCoy and Conner Hall. I believe he also sang with Alphus and Urias Lefevre. Some of this goes back to the mid 1930's and early to mid 1940's

Thank you qtman. With the schedule I keep, I don't have much time to blog, but do enjoy the comments of so many diversified thoughts.

Thank you so much for mentioning my Daddy Fred Rose. He definitely was a wonderful bass singer. I have been helping to run his music business for 12 years. In case you didn't hear Daddy died of throat cancer February 1, 1980. We hear from people still all about him when he was on the road.

By the way he definitely went to heaven. 24 hours before he died he died and was mistakenly resusitated. The next morning he ate breakfast including orange juice for the first time in months and told us he had seen Jesus the night before.

Thank you again, Michele Rose Barnes

Hey Tenor247

How ya doing? I saw 2x2 the other night and it seemed strange not seeing you up there with them. I do hope the new path you are traveling with your ministry is rewarding both for you personnally and more important rewarding in leading more souls to the place where they can make that decision for eternal life.

No im saying from the friends, loved ones, and those close to him, they were praying for his salvation. And from what they have all told me, he never changed, made a profession, or did anything to make them believe otherwise.

OK and so I know we are not to ask who this is and I am not going to but I would like to say that this really makes no sense as I was under the impression that these men were all SG Bass singers and as such I am almost 100% sure they would have had to made a profession to be out there doing it night after night. And also it really bothers me that "they" would say something like this because no one truly knows what happens in the last moments before someone leaves this world and steps out into eternity. For all anyone knows this person could be walking the streets of glory today. I was always raised you never pass judgement on someone's eternal home as you just truly never know until you make it home yourself. God is a loving God and wants none of His children to parish and He is a forgiving God.
