Thanks, Sharon.

It's still not gone. More and more I am thinking I probably need to go to a chiropractor again. I just have to decide who and when.

I had my weigh in on Thursday. I lost exactly one pound for the week. Which, of course, initially I wasn't thrilled about since it's ONLY one..but then I have to go through all the "positive thinking thoughts": "One is better than none" (ESPECIALLY with the health challenging weekend I had),
"It's a healthier weight loss to lose it slow" and "It will probably show more next week because this week was 'water retaining week'" ...but really... I had lost 3.4 the week before so my average is still slightly over 2/wk which IS a healthy loss. So... I will continue on.

I am not eating any pre-packaged "diet food" or anything since I don't believe in them because of all the chemicals they put in them. I am basically watching portions and tracking that more so I can see and learn what/how much is a reasonable amount of "normal/healthy" food. It's definitely about making new habits with what I learn. It helps to have the meetings and the weigh in there even though we don't share our results unless we want to...I think just knowing there are others who are on the same journey even if they are doing it in different ways.

I got together with Danielle for a little bit yesterday. Overall, she is doing pretty well. I asked her what her and Adam's plans were for getting married and she said they are undecided. She/they are feeling now that they really don't want our pastor to do it. She said when they got to the church to discuss Aidan's service (before I got there) all he said was a curt "Hi Adam, Hi Danielle" and went on his way and then when I go there he was "How are you doing??" to me. And then she said he did the same exact thing on the day OF the service. In other words...they felt he was showing them NO empathy/sympathy/concern, but showed it all to me instead. I can understand them feeling hurt about that and I had no idea. They also felt that he didn't prepare for the service and said other people that were there commented that they felt that way too. Talking about this all did bring her to tears...so I know it really did hurt her/them. And, of course, hearing that hurts me....I had no idea.

Craig is working all day today and I am getting the house and food ready for 3 of our neighbor couples to come over tonight for "food and fun".
I look forward to that.

((((((((((((((((Sheila))))))))))))))) (((((((((((((((Danielle & Adam)))))))))))))))))) Poor things. I can imagine the hurt they feel. And you, too.

Sooooo, what kind of food and fun are you having???

I'm not doing much today....maybe pulling some weeds before it starts raining (again), cleaning up a little around the house. T had a load to Vegas yesterday, had to spend the night, come home later this afternoon, go back to Vegas early in the morning, spend tomorrow night, come back Monday, and then go back AGAIN on Tuesday. Then we go for fun next weekend for the game.

I am making Chili, someone is bringing a healthy salad, someone else is bringing cornbread...and now sure what else yet. Then we will probably play "Uno Attack" or something.

It is funny to have you talk about pulling weeds in January!! We have quite a coating of snow on the ground here!! Last night it snowed again and it was so pretty.... it was sparkling in the light.

LOL...PC. It's been a LONG time since I have been able to sleep until 9:00....I can't even if I think I want to!! LOL!!!

LOL!! He's not ready yet so I have a few more minutes.

I call them...the girl (Katy), the boy(Austin), and my eldest (Jade).

Maggie had laughed once when I said I was weeding in January, too. Today would be the perfect day because it's been raining off and on for 5 days now so the ground is all nice and smushy. Optimal conditions for weeding!!! And I always find it strangely therapeutic to weed.

I'd say "strangely" fits it perfectly.... LOL!! I love my flower beds...but I don't necessarily love the weeding aspect of them. LOL!

Sheila, I'm sorry to hear your pastor was less than compassionate to Danielle and Adam. How sad.

I'm with you, Sheila . . 'strangely' sounds rather good for that task . . . tho I have to admit there's a certain enjoyment -- a sense of accomplishment, I guess -- when it's finished

I was up at 5:30 -- thought it was 6:30 until after the coffee was made. Stayed up for a while, then went back to bed & slept until nearly 9:30 . . not THAT is nearly unheard of for me.

Sheila, I'm sorry to hear you're still suffering with the headache . . hope you get some relief soon.

Thanks, Maggie. It is sad. He has been wonderful to/with me...but knowing me better is really no reason to be any less to them. I am not sure if I should say anything or not. I'm going to be prayerful about it.

That is true.... there is a sense of accomplishment when it's DONE....but the actual DOING isn't always enjoyable. I guess that's like many other things in life... childbirth, cleaning house, dishes, LOSING WEIGHT, etc, etc.... LOL!

Strangely is right. I also find washing dishes therapuetic. Go Figure.

Change of plans. The boy had nothing to do in school today so I told him if he wrote out everything he can on his scienc project, we'd go to the hobby store this afternoon. I had bought T some rockets for Christmas, he let Austin build one. His science project is: which rocket will fly higher/faster with the same size engine...the rocket shaped one or the out-house shaped one. So today we'll go buy the out-house rocket.

T just called from Vegas. He did something to his foot and can barely walk. It's his clutch foot, too, so that's not good. I'll take him to urgent care when he gets home. Needless to say, I doubt he'll be going back to Vegas tomorrow.

I'm sooooo sorry that Danielle and Adam have been made to feel that way. I do think Pastor does have uncomfortable times and to some degree I think he is aware of that. I'll be praying about the situation too.

Sorry about your headaches still Sheila. Don't you still go to Dr. Dave for chiro?
Will pray about the headaches too.

Trish the people in my avatar right now is: Bonnie who accompanies many of the musical things at church and she is also the Adult SS Leader, Jenny who assists as page turner, comes from a VERY musical family, is a former SS student who I love to tease with about Veggie tales. Thus, Larry in the picture. LOL

No, Dr. Dave (if I am thinking of the same one) left many years ago. I had gone to two different ones that you had been to as well. The last one was the one on 1st Street... the really tall guy. I feel so silly to go back there since I haven't been there for so many years.

Thanks for your prayers. I am not sure if I should say something to Pastor Dave or not since I would feel like I was breaking Danielle's confidence then.

Sheila, it hasn't been "years" since you were to Dave Langholff. I thought I saw you there last year. Don't feel silly, regardless. He would be glad to see you.

Hard to know what to do for sure in the Pastor Dave situation. I'll be praying.

Oh...OK...we are talking the same guy... LOL. There was another "Dr. Dave" chiro that worked with Wink YEARS ago...
I don't THINK I was to Langholff since I worked at Charter though... so it's been over a year. But... I will definitely be thinking of going there again if the headaches don't stop soon!!

Thanks for your prayers.

We had a lot of fun...my Chili was a success and got lots of compliments.

We never got around to playing a game since one couple ran late due to a work situation and we were too busy just talking/visiting...but we all had fun. The one couple that was late had postcards made for the next get together, but unfortunately they were going to have it on Feb. 17th in the afternoon, which is the same as our "Soup Sunday" fundraiser at church for the mission trips so we won't be able to go. I REALLY want to see their house too!! They live in a historic place... it used to be a Cheese mill that they converted into a house!!! Oh well...that's the way things go.

Gonna head to bed soon... the room is heating up now. (it has a separate thermostat so we have it turned down during the day to save the fuel)
