IT'S YELLING WHEN YOU POST THAT WAY TOO.... (did you hear me?) When I write for little kids, you know, add a Scouts name to a bag, I get scolded because they don't have capitals in the middle of their name. You know, from the 4-7 year olds who are learning that.

I'm desperately in need of a new recliner. The footrest on mine has absolutely no padding. It actually cuts off the circulation in my legs if I don't sit just right.

I made it to church!! Good thing since I was litirgist today. (asst. reader) Well....I don't know. Maybe today would have been better had I NOT made it. During the prayer concerns it was revealed that a VERY dear and VERY loved member of our church is now in hospice care. From what I have been told, and knowing her, she is very at peace with it. But me, well.....I lost it becausing losing her presence is a great loss. She is a physically frail older lady but she is SUCH a witness to the love, the grace and the strength of the Lord. She helped me so much when I went through losing everything materially....and that wasn't the first time. Here is this lady that has a widowed mom suffered a stroke and was left partically paralyzed... her whole one side was left paralyzed and was told she would have to be in a wheelchair the rest of her life. But not Jan. She perservered and she walked. When I was early in my return back to Salem I needed to have wisdom teeth removed and someone had put a prayer concern for me. I saw her on my way out of the dentist office one day.... I didn't even really know her well then yet....but here she is, a physically frail older woman walking with a cane and her arm in a sling and she exclaims to me "I want to help you!!!" I couldn't believe it!!! Fortunately by that time God had provided through many other generous people and I was able to tell her that I didn't need her financial help. Through the years she was in different Bible study classes with me and she never ceased to be amazed at God's love and she never ceased to be a shining example to me. When I went through my bankruptcy and was in the midst of it and feeling at "my bottom" I went to church and specifically looked for HER to sit with because I KNEW that although she was frail physically, she was a ROCK spiritually. I went to her and she literally opened her arms to me and let me cry on her shoulder while speaking words of God's strength, guidance and that He would never leave me. I know I am selfish to want to keep her here, but I sure wish we could. So anyway.... that announcement came and it took me by surprise, I wasn't prepared at all for THAT. I cried but thought by the time I had to read I would be composed enough...which I started out good. Then came the reading from Eccesiastes 3:1-8 about their "being a time to be born and a time to die" and I lost my composure. So there I was standing right in front of the whole church crying. I did my best to gain my composure and continue reading and then I get to "a time to cry and a time to laugh, a time to grieve and a time to dance" and as I am reading that I look up and over at Sharon because that's who that verse made me think of. Big mistake. I had so many people in tears with me. But I finally made it through and then Craig made his way up the side of the church to the side entrance to the altar (not where people would be interrupted) to come give me a hug. What a guy. Writing all this makes me cry all over. I pray that God takes her home peacefully and painlessly. I ask that you will pray for the same for Jan. I know you all are praying for Sharon and I thank you. I didn't make it an easy service for her.
