Mrs. K has always been a great fan of Johnny Cash. When she lived in Maine, her dream was to live in Tennessee and meet Johnny Cash. She managed to do both.

She first saw Johnny live in Maine. She and her best friend had front row seats. When he came back for his encore, the crowd moved forward. Mrs. K was at the edge of the stage and he bent down and shook her hand. Her friend kept saying: "I prayed he'd shake your hand, I prayed he'd shake your hand."

I have one Johnny Cash album American IV: The Man Comes Around. Musically it is done in a very basic style, most cuts are two acoustic guitars and keyboards. About half the cuts are covers of other artists hit, from Bridge over Troubled Water to In My Life. Some are better than others, but he really does an outstanding rendition of Nine Inch Nails Hurt .

Good morning to all.

Kerr and all other Johnny Cash fans. FYI. Those who have met Mrs. Qtman have at least met Johnny Cash's second cousin. Her grandmother and Johnny Cash's father were brother and sister.

I remembered that there was a family connection.

Don't think Mrs. Q dresses in black though.

Hey Sam! Wanna bring your officers up here and utilize some of the folks I work with as taser-targets for training?

I'd help and make sure you knew who deserved it to tase!

Actually, I'm probably in trouble with one of those people. I "tased" my facebook friend who's an officer... I just couldn't help myself...

All I could hear in my head was --> ...tase him... tase him... tase him...

I don't think he's seen it yet though... Either that or I'm in really deep doo-doo...

A man showed up at Sam's church who had not been seen there in a long time.

Being the good man that he is, Sam went over and greeted the man warmly and asked how he was doing.

The man said that he was having a hard time and asked Sam to pray for his hearing.

Sam immediately clamped his hands over the man's ears and delivered a long, fervent, loud prayer for the man's hearing.

When he was finished, Sam said "There, is that better?"

The man replied: I don't know...

...My hearing is not until Wednesday.

Sam, Alabama is going to hit overweight state workers with a fat fee.

And it says they are already charging smokers.

That's correct. They will give you a chance to lose the weight. About a year I think. They are also going to charge a special charge for several other things like weight, Blood pressure, high chloresterol, etc. Things that can be controled. If you show prof you are trying to control them the extra charge will not apply.

Welcome home Sam!
From what I have been reading, you had a great week. Glad you guys are all home safe and sound. I don't know about you but I found a bunch of crazies on the road. Only got run off of the road once and that was by an 18 wheeler that decided to pass me on a hill and with a yellow line. Way too close for comfort.

Thanks Judy. Yes it was a great week. Really enjoyed spending time with Santa and Mrs. C. Plenty of good food and friendship and relaxing. Can't beat a vacation like that.

Trip home was uneventful.

Uneventful is good. Usually when one has stories about a drive, it's not a good thing...

Is this for government workers only? How will they fine those they deem overweight (after the year)? Dock the wages?

They charge them $25.00 per month for insurance that is normally free.

Personally, I think it's worth it.
