I get everything for myself and the kids ready the night before. It makes mornings so much easier.

I try to get everything ready the night before, because I'm a zombie in the morning. If I have something unusual in the morning (doctor's appointment, dog groomer) I leave a stickie note on my coffee mug in front of the percolator! Having my coffee set up is an absolute must, LOL! Since we've gotten a dog, and I walk her in the morning, I've started getting all the stuff for that ready as well (treats for training, baggie for you-know-what, leash). The only thing I frequently neglect is lunch. I wish I were better about making a lunch, and remembering in to get it out of the fridge. In fact, I left my lunch at home today, because I got sidetracked watching a TIVO'ed episode of Iron Chef, and rushed out the door.

i have to get my clothes and stuff ready the night before. if i wait until the morning, then i'll stand in front of my closet and ponder for 15 or 20 minutes, try 2 or 3 outfits on and then i'll be 1/2 an hour late to work.
so, i'm a 'night before' kinda person.
my husband (who is a student but also works both at home and outside the home) can just wake up and throw something on and leave. he's out the door in 10 minutes. men are low maintenance.

My church's womens group meets Wednesday mornings at 11. Its just the older retired women, they wonder why they cant get more of the ladies in church to come. However, they refuse to meet in the evenings so, we (the other ladies in the church - all who work) dont really have much sympathy on their dwindling numbers.

Our church has studies, groups, etc. for women in the AM and the PM.
However, the women working outside the home who could attend the PM activities are too tired and stretched already. At least that's what they tell me.  I don't blame them - I feel the same way many times.
If you really want to do a study or whatever in the evening, maybe talk with a few other WOH women and put your own group together. That might be more fun, too.
Switching to when I start getting ready for work...when the alarm goes off is pretty much what I do. No kids...so as soon as I've figured out where the bathroom is and start the coffee...I stumble back to the closet and go into a meditative state, wondering what the weather will be today and if I have anywhere to go besides work that day. 
I am not much of a planner when it comes to dressing for work. Course, I have a lot of leniency in that area, cause I'm in my own office without any direct public contact. So if I wanna wear sweats to work, I can.
I don't, but I could.

My mornings go something like this. . .
Stumble out of bed at 6:00 am and hit the shower.
Find something to wear (usually in the dark as Matt gets up later than I do)
Fix my hair, put on my makeup
Make breakfast for Matt and myself
Eat breakfast and pack a lunch for myself
Quiet time/Bible reading
Do a load of dishes or laundry (whichever needs the most attention)
Some mornings I also bag up the garbage and put it by the front door for Matt to take out on his way to work.
Search for matching socks
Search for my purse/cell phone/keys
Leave for work at 7:30.

I get everything ready the night before, although it's pretty easy because nearly every piece of clothing I own is black or gray. I mostly have to make sure what I want to wear isn't wrinkled. I also shower before bed. I recently got all my hair cut off--all of it--and I only live about six blocks from work. I get up at 7:40 to be at work at 8:00. I kid you not.

I know! I'm spoiled at the moment. I used to have a 30-minute commute, so this really is a luxury. I forgot to add I eat breakfast at work. I've always eaten breakfast at work, no matter what job I was working.

My morning usually consists of alarm going off at 6:30. If I'm with it, usually I get up, shower, make breakfast, get dressed, eat with hubby, leave for work at 8:45 to get there by 9:00. If I have extra time I start some laundry, do some dishes. I only wash my hair everyother morning so some mornings I have more time.
But most mornings its, roll out of bed at 7:30 (or later) shower, grab a glass of milk and a granola bar. Tell hubby by and rush out the door.

Are you kidding me? I can barely find the bathroom in the morning, much less make sense of a devotional.
I actually do mine during lunch or in the evening. I do power studies on the weekends.

here is my morning schedule.
6:00am alarm goes off, wake up and shower
6:05 am, reset alarm and go back to sleep and take a nap
7:30 am, alarm goes off again, go into bathroom and mess with hair and make up until 7:40
7:40 bathroom break (really, it is like clockwork)
7:44ish, throw on deodorant, lotion, pack lunch, slather cream cheese on my bagel and throw it in a zip lock bag, rub the cat's belly because at this point she realizes that i'm leaving for the day, give hubby a hug and kiss and say "i love you" about 5 times, grab my back pack (that was packed the night before with my gym clothes and bathing suit etc....) and head out the door by 8:00am for my 45minute- an hour long commute via subway to work
9:00am arrive at work, toast my bagel, grab some coffee, check emails then head to crosswalk to see what everyone is up to.

I have to get ready the night before. I just don't like last minute stress. I usually get up at 6:30 shower brush teeth and throw on my sweats. Then I head downstairs and walk the dog. Next I eat some breakfast. I will usually clean up the kitchen before I leave for work. Sometimes hubby is there and sometimes he has already headed out for the day. If he is home we are yakking away about things that need to be done or whatnot. If I have extra time I might toss the ball for the dog or read or play on the computer. About 15 minutes before I have to leave I will run upstairs and put on my work clothes and fix my hair. I leave for work at 8:30 even though it is a 15 minute drive and I start at 9:00. That way if I hit traffic jams or whatever I am not late. Since I am usually early to work I will spend 10-15 minutes in my car listening to the radio or reading. Actually that would probably be the best time for a devotional. Maybe I'll start that. I feel like we must make the most of our weekends organizationally speaking. If I don't have clean laundry and grocery shopping for the week on Sunday night we will spend the week trying to catch up.

I am TRYING to start a better nighttime routine. I know if I'd shower and straighten my hair at night I'd cut a good 45 minutes off my morning, and I could get more stuff done at home in the AM. However, that has yet to happen. I am tyring to get myself into a routine that way I'll be a little more organized before a baby comes along. yes, I know that a baby will throw off my whole routine, but at least I'd be in a little better position to start with!

I need to get back in the habit of getting ready the night before. These last few months I've let it slip. Right now, my routine is get up, feed the furkids, take a shower, nudge DH to get out of bed, do hair, nudge DH again, get dressed, nudge DH one more time, get out of the way when he realizes how late he's slept and runs to start getting ready, grab my lunch, pack up my computer bag, and go. DH and I carpool, so I can do my makeup in the car. I eat breakfast at work.

I can't wait til my baby comes so I can finally quit the full time job and not have such a tight morning routine. Yes, I'll still need to stay organized 'cause I'll be working a part-time job in the evenings and I'll have to make sure the baby is fed and dinner is cooked before I leave. . .but it still sounds much nicer than what I"m doing right now.
That's just silly that anyone would tell you that you HAVE to do your devotions in the morning! I wouldn't have stayed in that study either. I just choose to do mornings because I'm far more likely to stay awake then. . .I'm usually way too tired in the evenings to do much that requires me to think.

I didn't stay in that study for long after that. Of course, that was also the one that was telling me what a shame it was that I feel like I have to have a job.
