My husband's birthday was last week. What he wanted to do to celebrate was take two days off work, since I work weekends and am off midweek, and use the money I would have otherwise spent on gifts for him to take me and go out and do fun things without the kids that we don't often get to do. We went to the zoo. We went to a dinner theater. We went hiking. I kept thinking, he's the one with the birthday, but I get to go out! We both had a blast![sm=dance.gif]

My husband's good morning text to me said that I mean everything to him. Almost made me tear up right there at work. [:)]

My husband said that he doesn't mind me spending time on the Crosswalk forums when he'd really rather have me playing W.o.W. with him. And we do that quite often. It's fun.

He held me very close for a long time the other day when I was crying about the death of my ex husband. I was crying for my 2 grown kids, this was their "father". But hubby is the "real Dad" to them.
We have been married for 19 years. He understands my sadness regarding the death of my ex who was very cruel to me when I was married to him. He knows I was crying because my ex was lost and I honestly wanted him to find the Lord.

I love my husband!!!!!

I'm a stay at home mom and had had a LONG week. My husband disappeared upstairs for the longest time. WHen i asked him what he was doing he said "don't worry about it" About twenty minutes later he called for me. He had scrubbed the bathtub, made me a bubble bath, lit candles, turned on music, handed me my new book by Joyce Meyer and told me to enjoy and left the room. It was so sweet and just what I needed. It made me realize just how much he does listen when i am talking.

My husband is so awesome all the time, but today I went to get lunch and the restuarant put sauce on my tacos. Yuck! I got back to work and went to eat and YUCK! So I had no food and no money to get something from the vending machine.

So he went and got me food while on his lunch and brought it to me.

Our anniversary is Monday and he bought me flowers. Today he has been extra good. :)

Ok, you might wanna take a seat for this one. I just got married 4 days ago.. but he has been melting me to the core since day one! First off, my husband can't go 10 minutes without grabbing my hands, staring into my eyes.. and just telling me how much he adores me. He tells me everyday how happy he is to be married to me. We will be in the middle of a grocery store and he will just dip me down and kiss me. He likes to stop in the middle of whatever we are doing and just hug me, he does it in the middle of the street sometimes also. If we're in the mall.. and I say "that's cute!" He will drop everything and buy it for me. He cleans the house more than I do! I get constant anxiety and panic attacks.. when I start to get one, no matter where we are.. he will stop and we'll pray. He does so much for me, and then I have to ask myself.. when's the last time I did something for him??

The Lord has blessed me with the jackpot. I don't know what I did to deserve this kind of love.. but oh man will I never let go of it![:D]

And don't let anyone tell you, you are just newlyweds. Things do settle down a little but the affection can last a life-time. I hope they still mistake you for newlyweds on your 20th anniversary.

This doesn't sound like much, but it made me feel so brilliantly happy.

My husband has been on a business trip for a week; which is the longest we've ever been apart since we started dating. We were talking on the phone today, and he told me that he was having a good time, but he was happy to be coming home tomorrow.

He then lovingly said, "I blame you. I could have had an outstanding time here, but I couldn't because I miss you. Why do you have to be so freaking awesome?"

This is fantastic. It is soooo sweet when he stops to pray with you when you need it. It reminds me of my husband. I used to have bad nightmares about being attacked by demons. My husband would wake up and pray with me, then sing praise songs in my ear until I was ok again. We've been together for 2 years and it is still like that so far. My hopes are exactly what car2ner said, that people will mistake us for newlyweds even when we have been married 20 years.

My husband does all of the other wonderful things, like takes care of me when I'm sick, helps with the baby, etc... He isn't very wordy and not overly romantic but when he tries to be romantic he is definitely romantic!!
Our first anniversary he "kidnapped" me from work and took me to Disney.
2nd anniversary he kidnapped me again and took me away for the weekend
and for our 4th anniversary he wrote me a song and actually sang it in church for the offertory!! And my husband doesn't sing in public (he isn't the best singer but Micheal W Smith didn't sound as good as my man did that day!) [:)]

My dh let me sleep in today even though he had a really bad night last night. He knew it would be my last day to sleep in for a while and just wanted me to enjoy it.

Since m'love has transfered work locations, we have only been together on the weekends for almost a year now. So when he cames home of Friday nights, we go out to eat and turn on the t.v. (not important what is on) and spend the rest of the night wrapped up on each other. Then we hang out in bed on Saturday morning just for the sheer delight of touching each other.

mbgb -> RE: What has your husband done lately that just made you melt... (5/10/2008 8:50:47 PM)

Wow. I can't believe I am EVEN writing on this post. Those who know me know I've gone through a horrible time with my husband over the past year and a half of our marriage. Let me just say that God isn't some magician or magical worker, nor do I perceive Him as that, but He is good, and He is faithful to those who love Him and have loved Him for a long time. That's all I'm going to say about that.

My husband has made me melt recently because he laughs with me and talks to me. He says that he loves me and that he'd not rather be married to anyone else. He wasn't always like this, and if he did say it before, it wasn't sincere. God has changed me and God has changed our marriage. All glory be to God, who has made my marriage a good one, and has made it positive. I watched my husband, today, truly enjoy my company, when he didn't know I was looking. He is usually so stiff, but today, he was relaxed and having a good time, and he never knew I saw. :) God is working. God is good.[:D]

pstrdebi -> RE: What has your husband done lately that just made you melt... (5/16/2008 1:21:53 AM)

My husband prays over me.

The first time he did was on our honeymoon, years ago... We went camping for our honeymoon, at the beach near Santa Barbara, CA... and I woke in the middle of the night with my husband stroking my hair and praying over me.

He still does... in fact, I was in our prayer closet (we use our big walk in closet) this morning, and he came in and began anointing me with oil and praying over me.

That is such an amazing thing to me!
He is my hero!

M'love took me to dinner and then the opening of Prince Caspian! Wheeeee, now that is what I call a date!

momndaboyz -> RE: What has your husband done lately that just made you melt... (5/21/2008 11:34:12 AM)

Yesterday he was extremely stressed over work issues and finances. He came home to dinner ready, house relatively tidy (4 kids underfoot) and his coworker stopped by so I invited him to stay and have dinner. Later that evening we were watching a new dvd we'd been waiting months to get. In the middle of the movie he said "we can see the whole thing another day" took me into the other room, lavished me with hugs and kisses and told me how happy he is[:D]

3tulips -> RE: What has your husband done lately that just made you melt... (5/21/2008 2:38:49 PM)

He is my rock in having to deal with issues with my mom. He told me to unload on him and then he holds me and prays for me. I don't deserve him!

Annie64 -> RE: What has your husband done lately that just made you melt... (5/23/2008 11:54:39 PM)

He took me out for a whole day for my birthday. And when, during the day, I had a hankering for a strawberry Julius and we were nowhere near a mall, he took me all the way to the mall to get one.

Ladies, we can't let this thread die. With so many people hurting it is good to see some couples rejoicing. That being said let me add this:

I came home grumpy yesterday for no big reason. M'love was talking to me on the phone and rather than trying to "fix it" or tell me "you are over reacting, just relax" he gave me verbal hugs and told me that I was wonderful. How can I stay grumpy that way? A little relaxing and it was all good again.

LaVidaBonita -> RE: What has your husband done lately that just made you melt... (6/11/2008 1:01:50 PM)

My DF and I are getting married on November 29th, and I was teasing that for the rest of our lives I will never have a proper birthday celebration. My birthday is on December 6th and with it being so close to Christmas and now our anniversary I was joking with him and saying how I thought I would get lost in the shuffle and therefore we should celebrate my half-birthday. Well on June 6th he went to Halmark and bought me a half-birthday card and then took me to dinner. I love him so much and I can't wait to be his wife!
