It is Our Lord who created snow . . . such a beautiful thing.
I can agree with that. When I see the majesty of snow covered mountains in Colorado, it is beautiful. When I see the beauty of snow covered trees in Wisconsin, I can also say it's beautiful. When I walk out my back door and fall on my face because it snowed, it ain't quite so purty.

BTW, here's a pretty interesting "snow in Jackson" photo

Looks like the way Mrs. Kerrlaw describes her walking to school in Maine.

It snowed quite a bit in Asheville, NC when I lived there, and in TN when I was a child, but we haven't had a good snow in years. And some people still deny global warming.

Terri, it's a quote from the movie Meet the Andersons. Just silliness.

Morning, Popsi! I too got a bit more sleep than the night before, but still not enough. I am sooooooo tired and worn out this week. Been really stressful. Maybe I can rest up this weekend. Doubtful, but maybe...

One of my favorite verses in Chris Tomlin's "Indescribable" goes "Who has told every lightning bolt where it should go? Or seen heavenly storehouses laden with snow?" What a great picture that conjures in my mind!

As Grace Slick said at Woodstock, "MORNING PEOPLE! It's a new day."

Um...yeah. Do you remember Niagara Falls that we had going on in our bedroom and then on down to the livingroom a year and a half ago? Flat roofs need replacing/fixing often and we had told the LL for months that we needed buckets any time it rained. Finally did get that new roof though.

All the old houses in this town HAD flat roofs at one time. I think ours is the only one that is still flat. The other ones have all been given peaks, because it makes sense to do so with how much snow we get!

The strip mall that the book store's in has a flat roof. We have to do the bucket brigade whenever it rains hard. One place I worked must have tarred the roof 10 times in five years and it still leaked. Flat roofs are just a dumb idea unless you live in the desert.

Just a lot going on at work right now.

For those who don't already know, I am a single Mom working 40 hours a week as a church secretary AND I am a full time college student. All my classes are online this semester so I'm not driving as much back and forth, but I find some classes are MORE stressful online than as traditional classes. Some of them, you just NEED personal interaction with others to survive. That is where I am this semester....

On top of that, I received distressing news at work last week. Didn't realize how it has impacted me until yesterday. My midterm grades come out this week and I am sure they will be awful. I only hope I have time to pull them outta the fire before the semester ends....

And yes, my avatar is a fairly current pic. About a month ago, I guess. Thank you for the compliment. Couldn't have come at a better time!!!

Oh girlll,

Wow! That sounds like a load you have there! I wouldn't know what to do with myself. I'm praying God is your strength. When we are weak, then He is strong! I'm also praying that He will send you others to interact with.

I'm sure your midterm grades can't be awful! When I was stressed about things while I was in college and working, I would pray for God's mercy as far as tests went. First of all because I freeze when I have to take tests and 2nd just because sometimes it is so difficult to get study time in.

Thank you, Popsi! I hope I am overreacting about the midterm grades, but if not I should still have time to bring them up. Midterms don't go on our final records here, so as long as I can get back in the groove, I should be fine!
