You should try it. Make the sign for "L" with one of your hands (thumb out, index finger up and the rest of your fingers folded in) and hold it up in front of your forehead. Practice a few times...

Then I'll tell you what it means...

Ok . . . that one flew way over my head.

Go ahead, Phosy. I wanna see you explain that without using your hands.

Go ahead and tell her, Phosy. It's soon not going to make any sense in connection with your first post.

No; not on them . . . just all over the place so they'll hafta clean it up.

Oh! Here's another funny story (sorta). LOL

A couple of weeks ago, my neighbor and I went to a restaurant. My neighbor is stunningy gorgeous! She has the biggest bluest eyes I've ever seen, she's very tanned, has a dazzling white beautiful smile, wears pretty bright clothes, lots (but not LOTS) of pretty makeup and has almost white-blond long hair.

The waiter is flirting with her the entire time during our lunch and pretty much ignoring me.

He brings the check and I had already told my neighbor that this lunch was going to be my treat. She goes to the restroom and I put a $20 in the the money tray (the tab for both of us was $13 and some change). He comes back, barely looks at me, looks at the money and says, "Does your friend need change?" I responded by saying, "She doesn't, but I will, please." THAT's when he looked at me and said, "Oh." That's ALL he said.

She comes back from the restroom, we wait a few more mintues for my change, she says she'll meet me outside, I wait a few more minutes . . . and then I go find him, sitting down counting a wad of money. He looks at me and says, "Yes?"

I told him that I needed my change . . . and he said, "Oh, I though you said I could keep it."

First of all, he thought I was tipping over 50% for a mediocre lunch meal in which he ignored me the entire time (my friend had to ask him for more water for me because he'd come take care of her and then walk off without even looking in my direction)??!!!

THEN, when he thought he was getting such a generous tip, his only response to me was, "Oh." ???

I'm tellin' y'all . . . I get them on both extremes.

I have really been trying to figure it out . . . but I'm just not making a connection.

I'm sure that probably is proving y'all's point even more, huh?!

It means (drum roll please.....).....

"I'm a loser!"

And it sounds like your waiter should have been signing that himself...
