SharMar, hubby brought home a dozen chocolate covered strawberries Friday after work. These are the same ones he gets me for Valentine's Day. That was quite a tasty surprise. I'm pretty sure he and GB bought me a silver bracelet that I commented on once at Target. (GB is struggling with the concept of a "secret" at this age ) Other than that, church is the only thing we have planned for tomorrow unless they have thought up something to surprise me with, and I think I'd know if they did.

Didja get through all 117 of them? (you did say 117 last night, right?)

That's just a whole lotta reading...and yapper-flappin'.

Actually, all 101 from yesterday morning, and finished them up today. When I logged back in though, I had 49 new ones! I am down to just 19 unreads now.

Oh wow, 19 unread threads would be overwhelming to me, but you've really knocked out a lot.

It just occurred to me that you've got a weeks worth in each thread since you're only on line during the weekends. Whoa!

Kath, I'm really glad you quoted SharMar and posted a response because I just noticed that my post #5177 looked like very random thoughts.

I usually skip, I am online during the week too, just not as much. And honestly, I think that forums really has become just primarily a weekend thing as well.

Mike, skipping or skimming posts is something I've really tried to do, but I'm too OCD to go through with it. It's like I absolutely have to read them all with no gaps. *help*

See, I tend to see the PFY threads as being over at somebody's house. People come and visit and they leave for a while. I can't see being there 24 hours a day, and I just try to be present while I am there. Now, there are about a 1/2 a handful of threads that I will read through and through (this is one of them), but others, especially when they have between 10-30 plus pages I just tend to skip instead.

I like the "being at somebody's house" analogy.

The ManCub just informed me that he had his alarm set for 6:30am so that he could make me breakfast and bring it to me in bed. He also asked that I not get mad at him for waking me up so early.

Fritz, I can't wait for breakfast in bed. I should have suggested it to hubby, but didn't think of it...maybe next year.

I love it that the ManCub is gonna cook for you...very cool! What is on the menu, or do you know?

Lioness, that whole post just makes me want to squeeze Mancub and hug him and cover his face with auntie kisses.

Christi - your strawberries and your silver "surprise" sounds lovely!

ROFLOL!!! Actually, Christi, by the time I got back here, I had totally forgotten that tomorrow is Mother's Day and had also totally forgotten that I had asked what everyone's plans were. So yeah, it did kinda take me by surprise. I was enjoying reading it though. And then I finally realized you were actually answering a question I had asked.

It's so interesting being me sometimes; everything always seems so brand new.

edited: Apparently I also forgot to actually make complete and understandable sentences in this post.

This is the ManCub we're talking about, Christi. His sister said she was going to make me waffles so he's getting up a half hour earlier than she is to make me Eggos. I asked him how many waffles he thought I could eat and why didn't they just both make me breakfast together and he told me he was only making me one and then I could eat hers later.

I'm sure the fighting in the morning will wake me long before breakfast is ready.

Very nice Lioness!

Christi, me an 80's child? I actually learned the cool beans term from an old boss of mine. Now she was not really old though, she was about 8 years younger than I am.
