What do you put on an apple bagel? Just butter? Cinnamon sugar?

Now I'm wanting a bagel and I don't have any.

Call Larry on his cell phone. I mean, since he's already going to be there and all, it won't be a big deal for him to get one for you as well.

Great idea! Now to find his cell phone number...I'm sure I have it here somewhere...

This is too short-sighted for me. I mean, get me a bagel and I've got breakfast for a day.

On the other hand.....

If I had a (different) Larry of my own (and he doesn't really need to be named Larry just so long as he doesn't mind me calling him that), I would be set for bagels, or whatever I wanted, every morning!

Brilliant!

So maybe I should just start calling Brian Larry and then he'll bring me bagels? We don't have Panera's around here though. We do have a place that makes fabulous spinach bagels though.

Yes it is!

He even has a brother named Darryl. His other brother isn't a Darryl though.

*BIG sigh* He is stuck in traffic and is really disgusted, so I don't know when exactly I'll get that bagel.

I hope he doesn't eat it while he's sitting in traffic!

I have a brother named Larry, and another brother named Darren...and a third brother too, but his name isn't Darryl.

I liked having three older brothers while growing up. I felt very surrounded by men--protected and fun. Men are generally easier to get along with than women, don't you think?

But then they grew up and became idiots.

Hmm. Mine were just the opposite. They were idiots when they were kids, then they grew up and became real people.

I could say the same about most of my sisters. All but one in fact. That one is still a jerk.

I just want to go on record right now:

I love men!

The decent ones that a woman can look to as a brother.
Cranky, I loved what you said about feeling protected.

The other kind . . . the creeps et al . . . those aren't even men to begin with. Adult bodies do not determine whether one is a real man or a real woman; it's the character of a person that decides this.
