How old is your daughter? How many surgeries has she had?

8 yrs old. So far one major one, and one minor trip when a dog bit her face in the cleft area. Her teeth aren't coming in, stuck in the scar tissue. Soooo, this is not going to be fun. I've had gum surgery before for an infection. Cutting in the mouth just plain hurts like a sonufa [sm=smilecrossbone.gif]

Tis looking better at the end of the day. Sold another one of my houses, and my daughter has calmed down from the shock of being told we will have to back to the hospital.

Of course!

APZR are they talking about plastic surery when everything is done? One of my grandsons was bitten by a dog when he was about sixteen months old and still has a small scar by his left eye.

APZR -> RE: The Garage-come on in (8/1/2008 9:23:44 AM)

Yeah a little. While in there, might as well fix the puffy lip and scar tissue from past cleft surgery. If you gotta go in, might as well get it all at once.

Glad things are turning out well. [;)]

I've had gum surgery too. It didn't go very well. I was in the navy and our submarine was in the shipyard. The navy had a dentist with a make-shift office on a barge in the shipyard.

He tore into my gums at the back of the jaw. Eventually he decided that the facilities were inadequate for what he'd gotten into and decided to ship me off to a land-based dentist at a navy base.

In transit the novocaine wore off. [sm=shocked.gif][sm=fireanger.gif][sm=icon_smile_faint.gif]

APZR -> RE: The Garage-come on in (8/1/2008 11:33:33 AM)

Ouch! Forget the Purple Heart... you should get a Congressional Metal of Honor!

My PREVIOUS dentist didn't give me enough Novocaine, it wore off before I got to the drug store 5 miles away. I was not happy, and was one of the many reasons I found a new one. I've had an incident with a tractor that nearly amputated a finger... and it didn't hurt as bad as my mouth. [:@]

rayofson -> RE: The Garage-come on in (8/1/2008 7:52:00 PM)

Speaking of tractors...I went to the tractor pull at the county fair last night. If anyone has never been to a tractor pull, you should go! They are totally awesome!

Oh oh oh! More power! [sm=thumbsup.gif]

(Bring earplugs btw.)

What happened with your finger?

I have to start loading the HRH soon, Almost time to head for the wedding. Sylvia was out in the garden yesterday and got the worst attack of chiggers (I do mean the worst) I have seen in a long time. I had to go apply sevin dust to almost everything.
By the way, does anybody have any suggestion to how we may keep beavers out of the garden?

revbob4God -> RE: The Garage-come on in (8/2/2008 11:55:16 AM)

Sylvia had serious broken teeth after a car accident and went to a dentist who was overzealous in medicating her, and the worst part was that he let her leave before it all wore off. She almost ran the car into the front of the house when she came back and had no idea where she was or that anything was wrong. I was extremely angry that no one kept her or called me, and we will NOT be using that dentist again.

Everyone have a great, restful and blessed day. I'm going to the wedding-party-sendoff now, and I plan to break every diet rule the doctor has ever made, suggested or even hinted at.

Good morning!
I Hope everybody had a great weekend!

APZR -> RE: The Garage-come on in (8/4/2008 11:29:44 PM)

Whew, sometimes I hate the last week in July and 1st week in August... corporate tax returns, quarterly reports, tax payments due, and stockholder reports all due the same week. With all the Gobment "necessities", forget about making any $$$$ this week! [:@]

It's called fun, games, excitement and adventure.

rayofson -> RE: The Garage-come on in (8/5/2008 10:42:43 AM)

Sounds like you could use an accountant.

APZR -> RE: The Garage-come on in (8/5/2008 12:52:17 PM)

Have an accountant, she's a great one... saves me a ton of tax money. But there's still a lot to do to file.
Any who, stopped by our new house this AM. It's all painted, hardwood floor is in, rock work is done, started tile today, will be framing up the screen porch in the next couple of days, trim and doors on Thrusday, and will paint inside on Monday. It's finally looking like a house! I'd post a pic if I could figure out how... [&:]

Gents, I ordered grapes today. Sylvie wants grapes, so I am now starting the process of deciding where to build an arbor and what arbor to build. I have finished a long window box for the fence for cilantro and asparagus. I am still wondering what to do about the beavers.

revbob4God -> RE: The Garage-come on in (8/5/2008 1:09:03 PM)

The wedding was just a rousing good time, several baptised, and the ribs were just plain awesome. The lime sherbet punch is always a weakness of mine and I succumbed!

revbob4God -> RE: The Garage-come on in (8/5/2008 1:10:07 PM)

I thought I would try the MARS grapes, they are dark and seedless and drought/rot resistant, Anybody else tried these?

Dunno which ones they are. Go for it.

rayofson -> RE: The Garage-come on in (8/5/2008 9:24:48 PM)

They must be the green ones. [8D]

You'd have to post it on the internet...like on photobucket or flicker etc. and then link to it. If you want to email it to cw_rayofson@yahoo.com I'll post a link to it for you.

I planted asparagus for the first time last year. So far I haven't been able to kill it. [:D]

Hey Ray!

I heard your deck was done, and wow! Nice job! You may sell the house one day, but shoot! Take the deck with you. Just tell the movers to tie it to the top of the truck.[:D]

I was visitin' one of them big yard sales early Saturday, and picked this up for the garage. I know, it's not much, and it's cheap, but hey, I figure a nice cupachinos/frap-pay machine might be nice for these hot days. Now they told me you got to hit it on the side just like so- *smack* to get it started sometimes. I hate just poppin' in and splittin' like this. Anyways, practice your Godfather renditions and I'll be back with my 'auh yew tawkin' tuh ME?!!? next time for the guys.

Oh, I got a tip for keeping beavers out of gardens the other day. Yeah, strangest thing I ever heard of happening. The guy said he just set his bulldog up real comfy in the garden- I mean real comfy. You know how those dogs can be. He said the beaver looked at the dog, and the dog looked at the beaver, and the beaver just hollered, "Oh, dam!" and that was the fastest beaver he ever did see sprinting for the river. That dog, though, he just plopped right back down and was nursing some spare rib bones. Not eating them, 'cause that'd be bad for him, but just kind of mouthing them. Maybe like a cartoon cat smoking a stogie.

That reminds me of another thing. I'm seeing all kinds of strange things coming and going from your place. I know I'm just a bird brain, but I've seen an orange cat grinnin' all the time, and then... and I'm sure of it 'cause I've got the eyesight- there's one of them skinny dogs with the big flappy cheeks. Well, it's on a three-wheeled motorcycle with full face protection, and then there's this giant yellow M&M in the sidecar! And the dog doesn't eat the chocolate M&M! That's one of the most well-behaved dogs I've seen. Maybe if I open a garage up one day I'll start seeing things I've never seen before too.

Well... (sniffing sound a bird makes through its beak, and two more times), Ray, someones been reminiscin' about novacaine around here lately. That means dentist. I've not had much problem with this beak, but when I had to have my wisdom beak teeth pulled that was not fun. All four of 'em. That guy and his staff... I made them earn that money. I came out of the anesthesia with a start, and Ray. It was beautiful, embarrassing, and painful all rolled in to one. I'd coughed up blood all over myself, and when I came to I had the most caring, beautiful surgical aides- they coulda been desk workers, I don't know- one kinda holding each hand down in comfort and restraint, and I was kinda bawling and sobbing and babbling. Gives my feathers a rustle every time I think about it.

See you later, and I hope that contraption is not more trouble than the space it takes up.

OneJohn410
