crimsonfollower -> RE: 2008 Secret Sister Book Exchange!! (1/11/2008 8:55:17 PM)

What are your favorite genres/types of books?
Christian romance, historical fiction

Who are your favorite authors- do you own all of their books?

Where do I start??? Beverly Lewis, Francine Rivers, Lori Wick, Wanda E. Brunstetter, (this are the ones that I have read most recently :) )

Are there any other authors you'd like to try?

can't think of any off the top of my head, though I am usually up for anybody as long as it has a historical/romance aspect to it

Are there any specific titles you've been eyeing up?

(note: cbd.com is a dangerous site to look through because I quickly start to put together a wish list :) !!)

note: most of these are series that I don't have any of the books for yet. Don't feel like you have to get the whole series (unless you really, want to :) )

Wanda E. Brunsetter - "Sisters of Holmes County"
"Brides of Webster County"

Lori Wick: "A Place Called Home"
"Rocky Mountain Memories"

Francine Rivers: "Sons of Encouragement"
"Lineage of Grace"
( I think these are the only two series that my mother or I don't own of her's :) )

Any special considerations (ie someone who needs large print books)?

no

And of course...
How can your SS (and the rest of us) pray for you?

Pray that I will have patience and peace as I am looking for a new job (I am a teacher). Pray also as I will be leaving my current ministry in Brazil to return to the states in June.

If the book you're sending is under 14 oz. (I think, it may be 12oz) you can just leave it in your mailbox for the postman to pick up. $2.07/lb media rate. A lot of paperbacks are lighter then that. You may not need the post office if you have a mail delivered to your home.

MY hubby says to tell you, that HE can barely find the post office!!!!!
actually the reality is that I hardly ever leave the house anyway. Hubby does the bill paying. When I do go out of the house it's to church or to Wal-Mart....both of which are nowhere near the post office. Wal-Mart is less then a mile from here...so it's easy to fine. Now I can add going to the hospital on that list of "regular" places to go, but that is on base...nowhere near the post office.

I still haven't decided yet if I want to do this or not.

Ok, I am in....[:D]

Auben -> RE: 2008 Secret Sister Book Exchange!! (1/24/2008 10:00:52 AM)

I'm being skipped. [8|] I'm in too.

Sarah...I'm not sure if you read above. If you have mail pick up and if you choose a book under a pound (I think it's 14 oz...many paperbacks fall under that) then you can mail it from your house. When the mailman comes he'll take it with him. You only have to use the post office if its over that weight.

Do you have your checkups at the hospital too? Or do you have to go somewhere else. Maybe this summer you will have a chance to get out and sightsee. Like when the baby is crying and the only way to calm him or her (I think her) is to drive. I thought your husband was out of the military.
