It is cold here this morning! Brrrrrrr

The lawns were iced over! There was even ice on top of the pavers around the yards.

There was even HAIL in the outskirts of town yesterday ...... one of my friends from my Bible study last night took some pictures with her camera. Up close pictures. The hail was probably about a half inch in diameter.

See, it does get cold here in the desert.

LOL

But, I know even though it was really cold (for us, trying to keep it in perspective here ) ...... the sky is clear and it will warm up as the day progresses.

It is truly wonderful to live in the desert this time of year. So very beautiful! The mountains are turning green. I love it

It's bleary here.

I totaled my car yesterday so it's even more depressing...LOL Although I have to say I walked away from it so that's always good. God was definitely watching me yesterday. *grin*

Yes Joy! NE Indiana just a stones throw away from Ohio.

We were pretty socked in still this morning and had that same old thunder storm come through! Woke me up tho! We are dealing with rivers and streams just about at flood stage and some of them are already over their banks! Thankful I'm up on the hill! No water standing here unless you count the little bit in the dip in my back yard. I had to drive 25 miles to my dd's dr's appointment this morning in it and at times I would say there was ZERO visability! School was cancelled for the day too. Bummer on that one. Any more snow or fog days will result in adding days on to the end of the school year.

It's beautiful out right now. Warming up and all the snow has pretty much melted except for the stuff that was piled up by the plows! 54 degrees out! It's a heat wave!

Hey Tink! Sorry about the car, but I am glad that you are okay!

Blessings,

Garsy

At the moment it's not raining or snowing and to me that's beautiful!

I heard about that 9 inches and am thinking we'll end up with mostly rain. Doesn't look good for the flood prone areas around here!

We just had the severe weather sirens stop sounding off! And low and behold - the blasted "Super Tuesday" result garbage somehow is more important than letting the people know why the sirens are going off in the first place. Needless to say - I have already composed to strongly worded, short e-mails to the local TV stations expressing my disappointment! I'm assuming it's because of the most current flood warnings that have been given, that I had to go online to find. We do have a thunderstorm watch going on but according to everything I found online it is still just a watch.

Thankfully the sirens didn't wake up my kids unnecessarily!

Again I KNEW it was a good idea to build up on a hill instead of down my the little creek that runs through town! I'm so glad hubby listened and agreed with me! We would have had twice as much acreage, but much of that lot is currently underwater or very soon will be.

Blessings,

Garsy

It's rainy here but I am in such a good mood!!! I made plans to take my best friend to the Melting Pot for his birthday next weekend! *does the happy dance* I am feeling much better since yesterday and I gave the burden of buying a new car completely to God. I know he will give me what I need; nothing more; nothing less. I'm excited to see what he has in store for me!! *giggle*

I REALLY need some SUNSHINE!!!!! My kids are all moody. I can hardly wait to get to school today (said in my most sarcastic tone) to see what kind of crankiness has gripped everyone there. Oh those noon monitor ladies better watch it today! Don't know if I'm going to be able to take it if they start yelling at the kids for every little whisper in the hallways. I know how my kids are behaving - I can imagine how a whole school building of kids with cbin fever are acting! Scary really!

Still wet, still raining, creeks and rivers overflowing their banks, and no end in sight to wet weather. I don't think I saw a single sun icon on the weather charts for the entire week!

Praying for SUNSHINE!

Blessings,

Garsy

It's snowing again, sometimes I think it will never, ever end

It's getting to the point of ridiculous! I mean really! Now it's getting colder again.

STILL praying for SUNSHINE! Maybe this is my object lesson for last weeks bible study on waiting and this weeks lesson on change.

Blessings,

Garsy

So sorry for those who got hit hard by tornados and rain. We got the snow! Woodfield Mall actually closed early! Anyone from WI get stuck in that horrible traffic jam. 13 hrs. I think We got around 8 inches, but those north of us got at least 12. I think it's going to be cold now for the rest of the week and just a few snow showers. What a Winter!!

Yes, I'm from Wisconsin. Our area was hit with 18.5" of snow. My son measured 20" in his yard (he lives 5 miles from me)
EVERYTHING was closed down. And I pity them folks stuck on the freeway for all them hours. But I think we are all thankful we did'ent have to face them awful twisters to the south.
42 more days till spring

In the words of Larry the Cucumber - "I'm wet."

Still raining here, well actually it's at that point where it's not actually rain, but it's not snow, but it's not coming fast or hard enough to be considered sleet.

My husband found a little garden snake curled up under my front porch rug that was in a heap in the corner this morning. Likely got flooded out of his home and was trying to find a warmer dryer spot to sleep! We're letting him stay - DON'T tell my kids!

NE Indiana is still under a flood warning and likely will be for quite some time as the precip isn't expected to quit anytime soon.

Blessings,

Garsy

Awww....poor little snake! Did you get a heat lamp or something for it???

It's a bright and sunny day here for a change. The air is a bit brisk but otherwise it's absolutely perfect.

Okay it might have been for only a moment but the SUNSHINE came back!!!!!!

I hope my ds got to see it! He is in Art class right now and that room has windows that face the south so maybe he did! I actually stepped outside to soak up a few rays! It's still cold out but seeing the sun was just downright exciting!

Keep praying folks! I still need more then a couple moments of the bright shiny orb! I could handle God showing that blasted ground hog that he is NOT in control of the weather!

Blessings,

Garsy

It's COLD here in NE Indiana! about 2 above, -15 with the windchill factor! BRRRR! But every so often we get a peek at the SUN! YIPPIE!

Hubby had the garage door open yesterday morning while I was in the shower and the lovely water pump FROZE! Thus with shampoo still in my hair the water stopped running! GRRRRRR!!! So after 15 minutes of thawing pipes, I was able to finish my shower! And he knows it takes all of 5 minutes with that door being open in below freezing temps for that thing to freeze!

So much for making it to church on time!

Blessings,

Garsy

garsyt here in NC indiana the weather man is claiming it is 1 degree with -25 wind chills...........Did you have the snow yesterday? We had white out conditions on many roads.......so much so the police were actually closing roads......this morning was about the same.

I live out in the country with two major roads.......one going east west the other north south.........to get to work I have to travel north...........the police had the only main road north closed due to the weather.......

So instead of all the traffic driving on the main road, which is flat, straight, wider, paved, with corn fields and yards on either side, during hazard conditions they force everyone heading north to take the back roads north which are hilly, curvy, unpaved and have ravines and ditches along the narrow roads........Yeap makes likes of sense LOL

We didn't here, but in places north of us, between here and Michigan, they had nearly white out conditions due to the highwinds blowing around surface snow. Forced some road closings. All we've had here besides the bitter cold is extremely high gusty winds, although is seems to be much calmmer out right now! AND an added bonus! The rivers have all crested and are beginning to recede some although there are still places that are majorly underwater! I can only imagine what the basement of our old home in Fort Wayne, IN looks like right now! We lived with two blocks of the river then and it didn't take much for us to have water in the basement. I'm sure there is at least a foot or two of water in there now! I wonder if the owners ever decided to move the furnace to higher ground?! Hoping so or they are FREEZING right now!

Apparently tho we are supposed to be under a winter weather watch right now and we are supposed to get some actual snow late tonight and into tomorrow.

Blessings,

Garsy
