Psalms 40:8
I desire to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart.”

In His will is our peace.

Ephesians 3:8b
This grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.

To be rich in God is far better than to be rich in the world.

2Corinthians 1:4
who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.

God comforts us to make us comforters, not to make us comfortable.

1 Corinthians 13
1If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Relationships are more important than Accomplishments

Psalms 32:7
You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.

When God gives a burden, He gives the Grace to bear it.

Ephesians 2:8-9
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God —not by works, so that no one can boast.

Grace; getting what we don’t deserve.
Mercy; not getting what we deserve.

Psalms 19:7
The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple.

Matthew 18:32-33
“Then the master called the servant in. ‘You wicked servant,’ he said, ‘I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?’

Rejoice, O soul, the debt is paid,
All our sins were on Christ laid.

Then God said “I forgive you”

Hebrews 12:1b-22
let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

It’s not the Olympic Games where they prance with pride, Christians know it was Christ who did it all, we should have humility.

Jeremiah 18:6
“Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand.

God’s Work in us isn’t over when we receive Christ; it has just begun.

Colossians 3:23

1 Peter 3:8-9
Suffering for Doing Good

8Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble.9Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.

It takes strength of character to do the right thing.

2Corinthians 7:10
Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.

Misery through conviction and joy through confession.
Thank you Lord.

Romans 1:21
For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.

The world said I’ve earned all these delights,
By my own hand I’m clothed and well fed.
Christians look up to God,
And give Him thanks for their daily bread.

Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Its what Jesus can do for you,
He can completely change your job description ...

AdamsEve, I like this post, and I agree.

Mine is Philippians 4

6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Don't worry about anything, God holds you in the palm of His mighty right Hand.

Luke 12:33
Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will not be exhausted, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys.

The supreme kind of giving arises from deep within the heart and not by law.

Zechariah 9:9
Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout, Daughter of Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and having salvation, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

Jesus, Saviour, Friend and Lord,
Now and forever adored.

1 Timothy 1:16
But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life.

Christ Jesus came to save sinners not those who can do it for themselves.

Matthew 21:16
“Do you hear what these children are saying?” they asked him.
“Yes,” replied Jesus, “have you never read,
“‘From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise’?”

You can never praise God to much.

Job 9:10
He (God) performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted.

God is behind the scenes controlling the scenes He is behind.
