I would like it to be known I am joking with these few post but I do think looking at ourselves, how well we are known and challenging ourselves to find ways reveal ourselves to others is important.

This is true. Posts on another thread (about confidence) lead me to state that we need to reveal ourselves to others but also not really care what they think about it.
(that's soemwhat clumsy phrasing. let me try again)
As we reveal more of ourselves to others we need to be aware that soem people will like what they see, some people will mostly dislike what they see and others will not care one way or the other. We cannot let other people's reactions stop us form being open and transparent.
So the guy/girl in the next office thinks we're strange. Well I guess he's/she's not one to waste our time with then.
We have no control over how people receive us. We can speak a little more genteel or dress a little differently but the bottom line is that they will decide about us on their own. We can control how open we are.
(This is very similar to spreading the gospel. We are not responsible for how they receive it. We are only responsible for delivering it.)
So as we stop worrying about their opinion of us, it becomes much easier for us to be who we are and enjoy revealing that person to others.

I think this is probably true. I don't fear rejection as much as I fear a knife in the back. So yeah, this fear of mine keeps me from being around new people for any length of time. People who know me like me. People who listen to rumors and don't judge for themselves think I'm something other than I am. I'm easy to get to know with safe and trustworthy people. It's the people with hidden agendas in wanting to get close to me I have to watch out for. So it makes it much harder to socialize and be known by others when you have to size people up for the weaponry they conceal in their bag of tricks (including online tricks).

(Also it's good for them to be in your path but not for you to be in their path. Those armored cars hurt a lot when they hit you.)
