Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, God is so faithful. Thank you to those who have been lifting my older brother up in prayer. I received a phone call from my mother yesterday who shared with me that my older brother has started to seek the Lord again after being on the run from Him. He has yet to abandon the female lifestyle he has chosen to live in, but I do know that the Lord is working in his heart and is healing him. Please continue to lift him up in prayer as my brother continues to seek the Lord's will, and may His perfect will be done.

Mari, I feel for you and your brother. I have observed this phenomenon from only a distance but I want to share what 'I've seen' in the hopes that these observations are helpful to you in understanding what has/is happening with your brother. Our culture is responsible for producing the situation your brother finds himself in. Our culture has come to define 'masculinity' so narrowly and so artificially that only the athletic, macho man is a true man. So wanting to belong (which is a basic need of every man), finding and being loved, these men search for people who will accept them. They have found that acceptance in our cultural defining 'other men' as homosexual or effeminate or gay or bisexual, etc. So they gravitate to this place of belonging. It is a horrible thing. But we have produced it. It is the fault of all of us who don't embrace ALL people and ALL gifts and ALL sensitivities, etc. We are so judgmental and so wrongly sexual in our thinking and acting that we have created this horrible problem. Others may not agree but I have seen it over and over and over again and I hold our society responsible. Your brother was looking for love and acceptance and he found it in a group that had not 'fit in' and had been cast out because of their differences. Shame on us! It grieves me tremendously and we are going to be held accountable for what we have created. Love your brother and offer him the love and acceptance he has longed for and has not found. I grieve for you and your brother. The Lord loves your brother greatly and is grieved that we have not loved him as He does. Many have been led down this path. I'm so sorry, Mari. But love and pray. The Lord knows. Believe for your brother that he can find the love he needs from Jesus and will know the freedom that only Jesus can bring him into. Bless you, LL

It is so uplifting just to hear that things may once again be on the road to recovery. Not all is as it once was, though time doesn't march in reverse and things will never completely be what they once were. Hopefully this means that things will continue to improve and not only your brother or just you, but your entire family will know the healing that only the Lord can bring. You can count another prayer from me, for all of you. It took a lot of courage and maturity not only to present your problems to others, but to be able to deal with the less-than-supportive/helpful comments.
