John's book, "Wild at Heart" saved my marriage. I am forever indebted to him, I was just currious how many other's have ready any of his stuff.

"Wild at Heart" was great, but that's all that I've read of his.

Sacred Romance is a very good book. He really knows how to speak about God's passion for us and how part of being Christ-like is becoming the adventurous, wild at heart kind of person that Jesus was. We are to be God pursuers and believers in dreams!

I love that kind of stuff. It always encourages me to go further, higher, and deeper in Christ.

I haven't read Sacred Romance yet. I would like to read that one and Epic. John shoots right up my alley. I'm a "man's man" type of guy...I drive a Jeep, go hunting and fishing, take my kids camping and hiking and fishing, I work as a welder, I wear boots and jeans and have knives and keys and such hanging off of them, so as you can imagine it is hard to get a guy like me to read those "self help" books. But his are not about self help, but rather about being who you are by God's design.

I read both John's book and his wife's book "Captivating" and they both had an incredible impact on our marriage!

Sacred Romance is one of my favorite books, although I enjoyed Brent Curtis' parts the best. Not so "I've got all the answers!"

About two years ago his book Wild at Heart was recommended to me by a counselor so I picked up the book and just read it. Good book! Then at our mens retreat last you the book was for the teaching. After the retreat I reread the book and got so much out of it. In the book John makes ties with the movie Braveheart I had never seen the movie so i had to rent to understand the ties.
I get a weeekly email from New Man magaizne. This past week there was an interview in it with John Eldridge ( http://www.newmanmagazine.com/e-magazine/040308/eldredge.php ) After I read the interview I went to the book store and picked up the book
Waking the Dead and plan to get Epic next.

I just returned from a retreat put on by "the milituia men", based on the Wild at Heart book and the field manual. What a life changing experience.
John has a new book out called Walking with God I picked up there.
I linked their page to my site (http://Christianiron.com) Their site is at http://www.ransomedheart.com

John MacArthur has a book called Fools Gold on Biblical Discernment that has an in depth chapter on this book, and its message. I would put it down here but it would take me forever.
