Okay, I didn't see this topic/question in this forum but I'm pretty sure it has been asked before (surely more than once). Now, I'm going to ask it because I would really like to know....... What kind of woman do you want? Which qualities do you want in a lady? Do you want a pretty girl? Are looks really important to you? Do you want an honest girl (surely you do!)? Do you want a clever or smart girl? Or would you rather have 'another dumb blonde'? Do you want to be with an outgoing girl? Or would you rather be with an introvert? Do you want a sweet, quiet girl? Or do you want a loud girl who will happily speak her mind when she wants? Do you want a creative girl? A sports fan? Or athlete? Do you want a skinny/slim, average, or a girl with 'a little more to love' [;)]? Oh! BTW: I'm not asking what you want in a girlfriend!! Oh, no! I've heard that guys want different qualities in a wife than in a girlfriend. What do you want in a wife? What kind of woman would you want to grow old with and spend the rest of your life with? C'mon, guys! Speak up! I know that y'all are dying let it out! [;)] Also, please feel free to add other things you would want in a woman that aren't listed here because I know I didn't cover everything.

OK, I'll start. For me, the qualities I look for in a girlfriend are the same ones I would look for in a wife. Appearance matters, but is not a high priority with me. All I ask is that my wife makes some kind of effort to look good. Personality wise, I have always preferred introverts as I am one myself. Being with someone really outgoing seems kind of scary to me and would likely become frustrating for me. I'm also a big soccer fan, so if my wife had any interest in the sport I'd be thrilled. Really though, as long as she can remember the name of my favorite team and occasionally ask how they're doing I'd be quite satisfied. Also, there are a couple things which would be intimidating to me. Like, I wouldn't want someone a lot taller or smarter than me. All in all, I really just want to find someone who can understand me and allows me to be me.

I want someone I'm attracted to, physically. That doesn't mean she has to impress the rest of the world, but I do want someone who I like to look at. That's such a broad category, though. There is a lot of variety to what I find attractive in women. Intelligence is also important, however more important is that she views herself as capable. I'm pretty smart myself, and people who don't think of themselves as smart sometimes feel intimidated by me. I want a woman who feels confident in conversation with me. I'm not a sports fan, but I would like a girl who is athletic in some way. Right now my health is bad, and I'm not dating, but it's killing me that I can't be more physically active. If I'm healthy enough to be dating and marrying, then I'm likely going to be back to enjoying being physically active. I think I'd want a wife who would share that with me. However, there are a lot of degrees and types of physical activity. In the end I'd settle for a woman who cares about her health and takes care of her body and mind. Introvert or Extrovert? Hmm, I've known too many people who cross those lines I'm not sure which to say. I'm a very personable person, who gets along with almost everyone, but I also don't crave crowds and need a certain amount of alone-time. How a girl interacts with me is far more important than how she acts at parties. I'm out of time to say more. However, what trumps all of that is faith. I want a girl who is following Jesus Christ with all her heart, and not just following some religious feeling or some spiritual high. I want a girl who is as passionate about proper teaching and learning about God as I am.

So I assume the given was that the lady be a Christian first eh? and from there... Which qualities do you want in a lady? that she be a lady? =) Do you want a pretty girl? Are looks really important to you? She would be super attractive to me and that's what matters =) Do you want an honest girl (surely you do!)? Who would say no to that? =) Do you want a clever or smart girl? Or would you rather have 'another dumb blonde'? Clever and smart please. She should challenge me to be a better man. Do you want to be with an outgoing girl? Or would you rather be with an introvert? An introvert can be introspective too which is nice, but yet not scared of being social. It would be nice for her to be able to hold her own at a party and all we need to do is check in with each other with a little touch or a wink across the room now and again. Some people are better one on one and they might as well play to their strengths. Too often the "outgoing" "life of the party" girl doesn't have time to think of "why" they are doing what they are doing. That's boring to me. I like a lady that's thought about life a little deeper, usually that's the introvert. I like to find out about the introvert's mysteries and typically the extrovert girl's layers are already on display and that's all there is to her and I'm already bored of it. =) (Sorry to the deep, thoughtful extroverts out there! LOL =) Do you want a sweet, quiet girl? Or do you want a loud girl who will happily speak her mind when she wants? A little loud with me but sweet with my Grandma :) LOL. Do you want a creative girl? yes, so creative she can make me do things I don't want to but somehow I enjoy doing it because it's for her. A sports fan? Or athlete? a little of both but neither extremes please. Women bodybuilders are an extreme and a hermit is another extreme =) Do you want a skinny/slim, average, or a girl with 'a little more to love' ? curves in all the right places is just right. Bony is bad. It's about the whole package not one individual thing. It's about how they carry themselves, how confident they are. I think the constant theme there is balance and moderation. [;)]

You left off the most important quality of all to me...a woman that loves God, and seeks Him first daily in her own life, as well as in our relationship. Everything else is secondary to that for me.

Are looks really important to you? why would i prefer an ugly girl? hahaha so yes a pretty one. im gonna spend the rest of my life with her and sexual attraction and what comes from it is whats the practical difference between marriage and not married. I want: A woman who is as attracted to me as I am to her. A woman who is as committed to a genuine and growing relationship with God as I am. A woman who is intelligent and not ashamed to show her capabilities. A woman who loves children and animals. A woman who is friendly and out going. A woman who loves me enough to tolerate my shortcomings and motivates me to grow. A woman who accepts me the way I am and won't try to turn me into her vision of what I ought to be. Girlfriend or Wife ought to be the same, although it's very interesting when one marries one's other partner well one seems to marry someone who will resemble one or the other of parents similar characteristics in one's mate, such as mom or pop, you know (smiling). Seeing it from out the box, like looking at my kid brother and his life partner (she) has quite a few similarities such as mom is=strong woman, awesome with mathematics, business minded, fast to put on a simple make-up in a rush and out the door (yet looking pretty only when need be (smiling) likes good dress but normally dresses in specific occassions when need be and to him she does marathons and great into sports just as him. Then there is my kid sister and her life partner, he is strong in character, quiet yet easy to approach with wisdom when it's the proper moment to speak it and has the ability to make his wife happy in little and in the great=emotionally and doing things in the house of course (gentle giant with a good heart). One man and one woman great with character and great heart felt understanding (hopefully this is making sense to ya'll). I'm speaking by each who have joined our family yet each brings in a glimpse of who each of our parents characteristics with them already. Front and center with my own craving: "Average built" because there really is no perfection once one passes 35 (I'm 10 lbs over my limit now, smiling) unless one is in training every day of one's week that is. Strong in character=knows herself in reflection to how God sees her. Although I favor for long black hair and blue eyes or black/blond hair with blue eyes/green and brown or amber yellowish color like the sun. Yet in reality it does not really matter what is important is someone who loves Jesus as much or loves Him greater than myself, then I will know that I know it will really stick to working furr-surrre (smiling positively). Height doesn't matter shorter than me or even taller as long as she loves Jesus as I do and those specs or freckles of uncertainty/insecurity she is able to see beyond what other say, but intestead she is able to see what God sees and what I will see in her through what the Holy Spirit will bless me to see! + I simply enjoy the pretty tom-boyish type that can get there blue jeans scoffed up in dirt or don't mind getting sweatie in out doorzy kinda stuff...you know. If a little more than average as long as it does not disturb her health and is able to enjoy a challenge in hiking or out doors or is able to break the norm in an every week doing something fun outside the couch. Hopefully she loves dogs and taking them for a run or a drive some where where we can all enjoy a memorable outting. And if she has cats as long as her cats are able to make friends with the dog(s) this will make us very happy. She can be seven years younger than myself or five years older this is my hopes anyway. Oh yeah someone who also enjoys the country as one who also enjoys the beach. someone who can enjoy growing flowers or trees that will one day grow fruit to enjoy our many tomorrows side by side. My maturity has grown a little more, since now a days I can finally stand to hear all Christian music and I'm able to see beauty in all people of all of God's flavors He has created. God has chosen each one of us with a certain responsibility as to why He chose our souls to be wearing this outter shell that people put so much visual discrimination upon it...you know?! Anyway I've been a Rocker N Roller to Heavy Metal=All within Christian driven lyrics but I've recently matured to handle Rap and all other, all because Christ is Whom it's being sponsored thru it, so I'd say I'm 70% into Rock + 20% Country and 10% Rap all heard on the Christian Station in one of the TBN sponsored programs (most likely I provably can't put it on this site). I have no idea what kind of woman I want. It's not that important for me to know because what I want changes daily. But if I was to say, I'm looking for a woman who fascinates me, stirs up passion within me, and attracts me.

I pretty much agree with Tom about articulating a definitive answer to such a massive question. In the end, I want who God specifically has for me. She would be everything that I couldn't do without. What I want in a girlfriend and a wife are the same. If I don't see her as wife material, why would I want to date her? Obviously, she must be a Christian and must have the desire to constantly grow in Christ. Without that, nothing else matters. On to the questions... Do you want a pretty girl? Are looks really important to you? yes, I want a girl who is pretty, but she doesn't need to be pretty to the rest of the world, just to me. NFL fan is all...I don't really follow anything else, and she doesn't have to follow it if she doesn't want to. athlete is good, that way, I can do fun stuff with her and the family and other friends and she won't feel out of place. I think she was perfect when she was 150 lbs and ready to give birth, just as I think she is perfect now.

a) Physical attraction is important, but not the end-all-be-all.. I don't think it's too much to ask for her to be in decent shape, and a have a good sense of style.. I keep myself in shape, and I would hope she would appreciate that.. b) Honesty and strength of character are the two most important personality traits to me. Of course, she should expect the same out of me! c) I like intelligence and sarcastic humor in a gal- she should be able to hold a conversation, make a witty observation or two, and not take herself too seriously. d) I'd take an outgoing girl over an introvert any day. Someone who's not afraid to network, who is good at bringing people together. e) Since I said I appreciate an extrovert, I will opt for a bold girl.. f) A creative girl is nice.. 'outside the box' is a good thing. e) I'll take a sports fan and athlete, but I know those are rare, so I'm flexible on this one.. but have some energy! I'm not attracted to the sedentary lifestyle. f) I like 'em more on the slim side (see answers a and e). g) I would like to add that she should be compassionate, and it would be cool if she enjoys studying Scripture.. someone who enjoys discussing Sunday's sermon on a Thursday! But is this too much to ask?
