There's something about bedding material rubbing against bare skin that makes me feel... awkward.

Well, that's the gamble we take when we choose to sleep in the buff. I think there are quite a few of us that have been caught naked when we least expect it, but that's a different topic. It'll probably make for a good laugh years from now, who knows...

This time of year I wear boxer-briefs, but in the summer, here in Georgia, it's too hot for even that.

Nude. Been sleeping that way since I was a kid. I've been sleeping that way for so long that I can't sleep if I wear something.

I see no reason to wear anything at all.

Someone once emailed me a picture entitled "Reason to wear pajamas" and it showed a naked guy being assisted down a ladder while his apartment building was going up in flames. I think my worries would have been concentrated on other things than how I was dressed. Oh I don't know, umm, perhaps getting out alive!!

i sometimes wear nothing, but usually i do because i sleep in late, and my mom comes to wake me.

In that case you'd better have something on.

It seems you are in the 47% plurality -- 'most' wear only their drawers to bed.

I am a 50 - 25 - 25 (nothing in hot weather, drawers/t-shirt maybe in cool weather, full pjs in cold).

haha , I,ve tried to wear pj,s but they always get twisted or pulled up or half down or something... My wife can go to sleep in one spot, never move all night and she seldom even messes the sheets and cover up , How do they do that ? Usually by 4 in the morning I have to regroup and hunt or figure out how I got the cover sideways ... hahaha

For some reason brujag's post reminds me of being in the hospital, because those gown things get all twisted up too. I guess I'd just rather be in bed fully dressed or in underwear, but you can't do that in the hospital. I'm glad to be healthy these days.

I had to laugh at this one since I spent a week in the hospital this summer. They hardly cover the backside if you don't get them on just right! I had my wife bring my robe so my nether end wouldn't stick out by accident!

I can't fathom going without them.

That's the only thing I've worn to bed lately, despite it being 10 degrees outside.

Not a stitch of anything. My body produces heat under the covers like nobody's business. It's led to a couple of embarrassing situations, but nothing major. My sis-in-law walked in on me one morning when I'd gotten too hot and kicked the covers off revealing a morning flagpole standing up. I was still asleep and was unaware of the situation until she told my wife and my wife told me. It was embarrassing at first, but we laugh about it now. Similar situation happened with my mom-in-law. Now when we go to either of their houses, I take shorts along for sleeping.

Usually just boxers. Sometimes a t-shirt. Would prefer to wear my "birthday suit", but I am so hot natured, I generally don't even sleep under any cover except the sheet. With two kids in the house, sleeping "in the buff" just wouldn't be wise.

Yep, there's an advantage to having grown kids!
