Legalnicki, I don't know what you and Clag4Christ have been discussing, but I think it's okay for you to feel the emotion of regret concerning college and career. You're not wrong to long for those things. An education and a career are noble achievements for any woman.
But it doesn't sound like you are allowing that regret to poison your life now. It sounds like your children know that they are loved, and that's what's important. I'm happy for you that you are now able to work on your education and your art business. That's great.
When your daughter is old enough, I think you can speak honestly with her about what you wish you would've done, while assuring her of how much you love her. I learned that I was born years before my parents wanted a child, but they raised me with much love. When I was mature enough my mom did discuss with me the fact that they'd planned on working for several years after marriage before kids, but well, God had other plans.
I wasn't upset. I knew that my birth caused a real financial crunch for them and interfered with my mom's work, but that never took away from their dedication as parents.
