Interesting. I think of myself as a middle-aged adult trapped in a 20-something's body.

I agree with your personal assessment. I think of myself as a young-adult right at home in a young-adult body.

I'm not 100% sure I understand you--you mean that you think my assessment of myself is correct for me, not that it's correct for you?

Welcome!

On this forum, the youngens aren't too talkative, so those of us who want to talk typically join in talking about whatever is on the geezer's minds.

Oops, sorry Daniel, sometimes I'm not all that clear in posting. I meant I agree with "your" personal assessment of yourself. It's not a slam, don't worry.

Don't worry, I'm taking it as a compliment. Thanks!

Are you and I the only two old-timers still around? Josh posts sometimes, but it seems like we have mostly new faces now. (That's not a bad thing, but I do miss our old friends!)

Jumping topics entirely, I have this sneaking suspicion that neither you nor I would be particularly disappointed if somewhere over 90% of SN #1 hits were quartet songs like the one sitting atop the list right now.

Yup, we're the young old-timers still in existence. I miss the days of Noah and Josh and ourselves tearing up the boards with banter that left my sides hurting.

Your "sneaking suspicion" is correct. "What We Needed" will very likely become an all-time favorite of mine, and a big reason the Kingdom Heirs are now share favorite group status with BF&A - and that's saying something.

It's definitely one of the best songs I've heard over the past few years.

P.S. It is a true quartet song--it simply won't work as a solo. (Yes, I tried. I decided against doing it for church!)

Hey guys! Hope y'all are having a great weekend. Have y'all heard the Kingsmen song When God Ran? Mercy's Well did that song also and is on their new album. I think MW has the better version.

I really, really liked the "Skywriting" - it was one of the best "surprise" albums I heard last year. That said, I don't think their version can touch the Kingsmen's after hearing it live. (just messin' around with ya )

Hey... I was here too! If you remember, we was keeping up with the geezers at the very beginning! But they soon got a huge following, and we lost everyone!

If I'm right, the original young folks thread brought about the Flawless Four!

Boy, I miss those times!

I like the song, but if I had my pick for favorite off the new album, it would be "Gospel Road". I listen to it all the time!

That's interesting because a number of the bloggers who reviewed that song didn't especially care for "Gospel Road." Just goes to show that musical taste is diverse.

I really enjoyed "The Cloud He's Coming Back On," "When God Ran," and "Road To Glory." I think it's easily the best-sounding Kingsmen album I've heard from the last 5 or 10 years.

I noticed that too.... but I guess I like the simplistic feel the song has. Plus, I love songs about heaven.

Perhaps though... it's the banjo that gets to me!
