Edited to add:
I just saw that we missed Schecter's BD 2 weeks ago. Happy #18!
my friend and I celebrated out 18th bds by buying HUGE (24 oz) cans of beer. We stuck them in the fridge in his basement "for future use." That was 1973. They may still be there.........

ROFL!!!!!! I did something similar, unfortunately. We took a trip to mah state's capital. Turns out the place was bar city.  So things were... not what we thought hahahahaha. It wasn't a bad B-day though. I'll be getting my real party in February.

I've had my experiences with looooooooooong practice sessions. 
My best friend measured the callouses on his fingers after playing bass four services in a row on one day. They were a quarter-inch tall. I laughed. Then it was my turn.

That was not a practice session. It was a street rally put on by our church. The pastor said play that song and dont stop until we get back. He then led the entire congregation up one street and down the next, staying close enough (about 4-5 blocks) that they could hear us and keep singing. It was just over an hour later when they finally got back.
We don't go to that church any more. (but it was where we recorded our cd)
