Dh had already studied the subject twice in other places (once in Year 12 and once when he did university first time but they wouldn't give him an exemption).

Even more annoying when the person who slept through a semester of Maths lectures gets the highest grade (that was dh his first year of university).

There was a guy sleeping in the back of the class during electronics school in the Navy. The instructor threw his eraser at him to wake him up. Then he asked the guy condescendingly if he would like to teach the class himself.

The guy looked up at the chalkboard and saw that it was transistor theory. He said "Sure."

Then he got up and divided the chalkboard into three sections. In each section he explained a different methodology of transistor theory. Each of them was better than what the instructor was teaching.

Then he sat down in the back of the class and went back to sleep. The instructor never bothered him again.

Well that seemed to show him.

Ok, I heard that there were tornadoes through NC. I hope that Denny, Darcy and others from that area are ok.

We used to live in Nebraska, so we were very familiar with tornadoes.

Now I didn't hear about that, but I guess it is possible though.

Well, I was in the other room when the report came on. I just heard NC and airport. As soon as I heard NC, I just hoped Denny, Darcy and Sam and their families were all ok.

Do you watch CNN? It seems strange that you would be getting weather reports for NC in Austrailia.

There were tornado reports not far from here. North, I believe. They didn't come this direction, however.

I am doing ok, just getting caught up on the rest of my forums subs. I presently have 12 left, mostly from a week ago. New postings keep on coming up though, which slows things down a little bit.

What do you usually watch to find out about news in the U.S.?

Hey!

No, the storms pretty well didn't come near here. There were t-storms on the horizon when I went to bed last night, but all is well.

Spent a few hours working on what will be our church's community garden, came home with my clothes filthy with mud, but I got cleaned up and had some lunch. Now, it's time to go hit the gym and then off to Lowe's for a look at some garden plants. I will probably spend about $20 on flowers for my garden, as a Mother's Day gift to myself.

Back later!

Our usual TV networks watch other networks to bring news to us. John also listens to the ABC online or on the radio, so he hears things that way.

Okay, in for a little while while I run some chores. Beautiful day, nice and warm and sunny. I spent more than I intended to on the flowers, but hopefully they'll be in the ground in the next few days and I'll have some nice color to look at.

I hadn't heard about the tornados. But if I had, I simply would have assumed that Darcy was playing with her explosives again.

Who, me?

I'm feeling a bit lazy today......there's laundry in the dryer that will need to be folded in a bit, and I need to change the sheets on the bed. And it might be a good idea to clean my desk off. Maybe in a bit.

Okay, now I'm hungry. Since I'm going to have munchies tonight, I need to be careful what I eat before then.

Well, I'm allowing myself a bit of a snack, I'm having some sugar-free ice cream that I've been craving all day. The calories aren't bad, and I really have been wanting sweets like CRAZY lately!
