Psalms274 -> Hey Honey, can you help me with this? (6/19/2007 8:48:03 PM)

I know I am not here too often ... but it occured to me ... we need a "hey honey" thread where we can ask silly questions that we would ask a wife/husband if we were married! On this thread we can ask each other ... and it won't be the same as a future "honey" answering them ... but at least we just might find an answer to those silly questions we have no one to ask! (Or you just want to ask for fun if you really do have someone to ask.[:)])

So here's my silly question to start.

I bought some stamps before the price changed to 41 cents and I just noticed that they have the words "first class forever" on the side. They have a picture of a bell. Did I accidently buy the forever stamps? If so I probably do not need to add the two cents stamp![:)]

mmartiandt -> RE: Hey Honey, can you help me with this? (6/19/2007 8:55:11 PM)

The forever stamps do not need the 2 cent stamps. You are good to go! [sm=thumbsup.gif]

ladioffaith -> RE: Hey Honey, can you help me with this? (6/19/2007 8:55:12 PM)

All stamps are now FOREVER stamps. They are worth 41 cents now but you won't have to buy a 2 cent stamp should you have them in your wallet when prices go up next.

KMS asked me this about them:

"Hey honey, do you think I should stock up on them for when prices go up?

Well dear, I think that we should only buy what we have budgeted in ... maybe develop a forever fund to use when the price is about to change again.

I have no other questions at this time!

Blessings all [:)] ... it's time for me to scoot.

Thanks for stopping by! [:D]

I've got no questions at this time either, just wanted to say Hi to psalms!

Focusing -> RE: Hey Honey, can you help me with this? (6/19/2007 9:41:35 PM)

No questions yet, but since I don't have a honey right now, I just have a silly urge to say:

Hi Honey! How was your day? [:D]

Grace-N-Mercy -> RE: Hey Honey, can you help me with this? (6/19/2007 9:47:39 PM)

I love this thread idea!!! I've already got a whole list of questions for my honey when he comes along. [;)]

Honey, what is the best way to level a 5' x 7' area of sand so I can lay some patio tiles?

Mrs.Above_All -> RE: Hey Honey, can you help me with this? (6/19/2007 9:59:32 PM)

Honey, What would like for dinner?

Dig a small trench on eaither side where you can put a straight 2x4. Level each 2 x 4 and then level them to each other (so that they are both at the same level and that they do not slope to one end.

fill the area with sand up to the tops of the two by fours. Using another 2 x4 long enough to reach from one side to the other (it's called a screed), draw the sand from one end to the other, then reverse. (By "shaking" the screed from one side to teh other as you do this you will cause the sand to level itself as you go by. After 1 or more passes you will have a level bed at the height of the 2x4's

To make the bed lower than the 2 x 4s use a screed that will fit between them and nail a guide strip of 1 by to the top so that teh guide strip rides on the rails and teh screed sits between them. Size the screed to give you the right sand height.

(This may be a painful thread for me. I love telling people what to do![:D])

Hey Psalms!!!!! I think you've created a monster here with this thread! What are we supposed to do?

Okay, in the spirit of the thread, hey honey, can you make sense of something senseless?

Thanks, John. Screed? Hey, I learned a new word today. [:D] Ok, I've got to think on this part (above) - I just can't visualize it.

The way I heard it on the "Forever Stamps" is that if you would buy 10,000 of them now at 41 cents and the price of postage goes up to 45 cents you can still use only the forever stamps to mail a letter. But if the price goes up to 45 cents then the stamps will sell for 45 cents.

Honey, can you help with my new avatar?

Awed (Sharon) rocks! [:)]

hotsaucygma -> RE: Hey Honey, can you help me with this? (6/20/2007 11:10:26 AM)

Hey Honey, if you have a side discharge lawn mower, can you put a mulching blade on it and "make it into" a mulching mower?

Only if you have the blocking plate that closes off the side discharge. Otherwise the mulching blade will not do a whole lot of mulching. It will just keep discharging to the side.

Hey, honey, how do a make a picture to fit into an avatar?

And for another purpose (a DVD slide show I'm working on for a family reunion), how do I change a picture that's a .bmp to a .jpeg image?? Or can I do this?

Wish I knew more about computers!

hotsaucygma -> RE: Hey Honey, can you help me with this? (6/20/2007 11:19:09 AM)

Rats Honey, why do you always tell me things I don't really want to hear? [:D]

I hate having that "row" of grass after I mow, I 'spose I should have bought a mulching or baggin mower to begin with, but they were quite a bit more expensive, sigh. Oh well, there are certainly worse things in life [:D].

Great idea for a thread, by the way!! And thanks for the answer John O.

Not done this yet, I don't know.

Open it in MicroSoft Paint and click "file", "Save as" and select JPG from the type drop down list.

They are small boxes that do exactly what you tell them to do and no more. (You're wish is granted [:D])

I'll take a crack at this one.

Open the picture in your photo editor. Resize it to no more than 145 x 145. "Save as" (whatever). That new file then is the one you can upload as your avatar.

Brenda-lee -> RE: Hey Honey, can you help me with this? (6/20/2007 2:49:10 PM)

I am a most excellent 'honey do' list creator [sm=sidesmile.gif]

For example:

Honey bunny could you please open this spegetti sauce jar for me?

Or

Honey could you please help me figure out why I am nuts about you? [;)]

So easy to throw a few flirts at him while you ask for his help [:D]

Oh yes I know I am BAD! [sm=icon_smile_evil.gif]

However, I see it as a measure of genius [sm=tongue.gif]

If it gets the job done, how can it be "bad"???

Note to self: keep the "Honey can you help me figure out why I'm nuts about you?" line in mind for the future!! [:D] It probably goes well with batting eyes, ya think??

You need some software to do it. If you are using a PC then Irfanview is a very good FREE program.

If you have a Mac then you have to use something else.

shemaromans -> RE: Hey Honey, can you help me with this? (6/20/2007 10:58:23 PM)

Honey, can you write this paper for me?
