Ellie Mae is on the way to the hospital with extreme pain and sickness. We think it is kidney stones. Please pray that she'll be treated right away and be able to pass the stone without surgery. THANKS!!!

Lisa is being transferred to a bigger hospital to have lithotripsy of a large stone. She gets to ride in an air conditioned ambulance (I'm jealous[;)]). She sounded good and drugged.[:D] She also asked prayers that they be able to arrange her thyroid radiation to be done while she is there, to get it done and out of the way.

PRAISE report....many of you know that my son Broomstick has been being treated for Scoliosis of the spine (he has to wear a back brace at night)...well today he had his routine evaluation done..and the orthopaedist was amazed. His scoliosis is getting BETTER. Keep in mind that with scoliosis...it doesn't "get better"...it stops progressing OR it gets worse (doctor's words!)...he had two curves last time...one at 19 degrees in his upper back and one at 25 degrees (mid-back)..they are now 14 degrees and 20 degrees respectively!

Praise the Lord...

oh..and we also found out that he is only about half done growing according to his growth plate solidification.......which he thinks is cool as he is creeping up on 6 feet..and would like to be 6'3" or taller!

We have an appointment with the admissions dept. of a local private university Wednesday at 10 am. My dd really wants to attend school there. Pray for us to represent the Lord and home schooling well. Thanks.

Am home from the lithotripsy. It seems to have gone well..the doctor thinks that he got good fragmentation...but now it is wait and see what I pass.

The actual measurements on my "little" stone were 19mm X 14 mm.

Here is what Hubb sent to our prayer chain:


Lisa will be seeing the urologist tomorrow about the laser procedure for the kidney stones that they are planning for Friday. She still has to have scans done and a radioactive iodine treatment for the thyroid situation. These are planned for Monday and Wednesday. Fatigue (from going without thyroid) and aches and pains could be aggravated by the four trips to [the city], not to mention the procedure itself. Please lift her up in prayer.

Our dog was just hit by a car. It is hard to tell how bad it is, but she can walk ok. Fred and mom are taking Lucky to an emergency clinic.

Thank you for your prayers. It looks like Lucky is just bruised. Mom and Fred didn't have x-rays done because she was out and running around. They gave her some meds to help her along and sent her home. I am so glad.

Ds left for Mexico this morning with the youth mission trip. Please pray for safe travels for them & safety while they are there. As well as, a great experience for those going & those they are ministering to! They will be back next Saturday (28 June).

I go in for another lithotripsy this Tuesday. The stone did break up...but not into small enough pieces...so they have to attack it again.

Hey folks!

Lisa is at the big hospital now, and has received her radioactive drink. Last I talked to her, she was fairly comfortable, although her arm was sore from the nausea prevention shot.

She is settled in to an isolated room. All surfaces are covered. The floor is papered, and she is in the process of coloring the kids pictures onto the floor with markers! Her phone, and even the bathroom fixtures, are all wrapped in plastic to prevent radiation residue.

I'm able to call in to her, and she has some things with her to pass the time, all of which are disposable, since she'd have to wait through three months of decontamination if she was going to bring anything home!

Thanks for your prayers, I know we are feeling upheld by the prayers of many!

I have to go to the dentist tomorrow. One of my back teeth chipped. I don't know if it's the tooth itself or part of a filling. In any case, when I eat something hot or cold I feel pain in the tooth. I am hoping that he is willing to fill it and doesn't want to pull it. The "hole' is not that big and if he pulls it I can't let him do it tomorrow. After having a tooth pulled I'm usually too spacey to drive and definately not up to working. I would prefer to wait until my mom is here to drive me and help with kids if it has to be pulled and I'd like to give them more notice at work than that day if it has to be pulled. Of course I hate to miss a day at all.

Also, pray that since I no longer have insurance the dentist might be moved to be generous and not charge me or not charge full amount. He is a Christian man who is aware of my circumstances.

A praise, when I called to make the appointment I asked about my last visit and I did have insurance to cover my check up at the beginning of the month. I owe them $2 for DS.

update on me:

The lithrotripsy went well. I am not too sore...I don't even have to take pain meds (which for me is NOT unusual....I have no nerve endings I think).

I have been passing 'sand" and several large stones (1/2 to 1 mm)....so yippee..they may have gotten it all this time...I will know for sure in 2 weeks at my post op.

My MIL was taken to the hospital yesterday. We are not all sure what's going on yet, but we have learned that she has a rather large abdominal aortic aneurysm. The cardiac surgeon at the little hospital she's at has admitted that he's never put a stint in one that big. Well, guess what, you're not doing it now either. We are hoping to get her transferred to the big medical center where I work so she can get care from more experienced doctors and nurses. We will be going down there as soon as my dh finishes changing the alternator in the car, which blew yesterday. [&:]

My paternal grandmother has had a sore on her leg for months. She went to the doctor right away but they did not realize until last week that it is cancer. They are supposed to remove it this Thursday, however, none of the doctors really want to do it and I guess there won't be any skin left so they have to do a graft or something? I am not sure if this will require chemo or anything after the removal, either.

My maternal grandmother is finally realizing how bad her dementia is. (and apparently so are the docs) Please pray that my mom gets on the ball with all the stuff that has to be done.

I need prayer that Noah's insurance company will listen to the 2nd appeal about treating Noah's Port Wine Stain b.mark that covers his face. This is so ridiculous and madening that they covered the first treatment, and now they have stopped. Now, we have an outstanding bill of 7,000 dollars since they didn't pay the last one.

Please pray for my daughter Stacey. She has been in touch with Michael again (after promising not to contact him for a year) and we had to take her phone. She was very angry with us, but now she is very sad. Pray for my husband who now has to call Michael and tell him to leave our daughter alone. Pray that the Lord would be honored in his conversation, and that my compassionate husband would remain firm in his decision.

Ladies, I just applied for a WONDERFUL job. Good pay, a fun place to work, and I could bike there. You know my favorite place that used to be my avatar? Well, this job is at a new interpretive center not far from where that pic was taken.

However, the job does not close until the end of the month. Please pray that God's will be done..and that His will is me getting that job. Thanks!
