Call the post office and tell them. Maybe even leave a note in your box.

The post office doesn't keep track of that kind of thing (we're in a large city and everything is pretty much automated and impersonal). I could write on every letter 'return to sender' but that gets very tedious two years in, especially as I don't go to the post office regularly, and most of it looks like unsolicited credit card offers etc so the companies aren't likely to take him off their list anyway.

I know I shouldn't, but these days I just bin them when they arrive. I figure that if this person really wanted to hear from these companies then they would have changed their address with them.
