Can someone please tell me why people are calling Ron Paul a nut? I like things he says and agree with a lot.

It seems hes not takin serious by so many, what is it?

The truth is offensive to many.

It's also suppressed, until an opprtune time; No one in the media would mention Duncan Hunter's name, either, while he was in the running, but now, with the stimilus package and possible checks to illegals in the conversation, they are quoting Rep. Hunter quite often . I also noticed RP has shifted alot of the debate banter to states rights, especially when Fred Thompson was in the race.

2-1-08 happy 51st Wedding Anniversary to Mr.& Mrs. Ron Paul!

RP seems to be having some trouble raising cash here on the local level.... CONGRESSIONAL CHALLENGER CHRIS PEDEN REPORTS TWICE AS MUCH CASH ON HAND AS RON PAUL; HOUSTON CHRONICLE GETS STORY EXACTLY BACKWARDS, THEN ERASES ERROR SOVIET-STYLE

But wait! It seems he will ba able to use some of the millions people gave him for the PRESIDENTIAL race!
quote:

Of course, Dr. Paul is allowed by “law” (really just “regulations” issued by an unconstitutional and illegitimate so-called “Federal Elections Commission”) to shift some of the millions he’s raising from across the nation as part of his Presidential run to his congressional campaign coffers… but that really wouldn’t be very honorable, would it?

After all, those millions were donated to support Dr. Paul’s pursuit of the presidency, not to keep his grubby little hands on a congressional seat… right?
right......

It's funny. Ron Paul raises so much money and yet people come up with these "news stories" to discredit him.

ha ha.

You be missing the point here Rich. He ain't raised squat for his congressional seat here. Thus the backwards news story in the Houston Pravda.

I want to add that it is rather disconcerting to hear the plethora of ads he's running on the radio here. Up to six an hour during drive time on the two talk radio stations I listen to. Half of them are for the presidential primary next month and the other half are for the 14th CD seat. Makes one wonder which vote he's going for. Any and all?

Well ok, but I still dont understand where the "nut" part comes in. I may not agree with some of what he says, but I dont call the man a nut. I agree that some of his followers may be a little radical from what Ive heard, but nutjob seems pretty etreme. Im all for sticking to the constitution, heaven knows we have a been a driftin!

Why shouldn't his supporters be a little "radical". We have seen our country going further and further down the wrong path and we want it to change. I everyone had that much pride in being an American and actually knew what the Constitution is and what liberty is, Ron Paul would be in the top 2.

But I've heard everything from him being call a nut, or being anti-Jew because he believes in cutting off foreign aid to Israel. It's not because he's anti-Jew. He believes in cutting off foreign aid to all nations and keeping the money here at home.

i for one will be glad when tuesday is over and the ron paul issue will be laid to rest...his campaign so far has seen very little support from the majority of voters and if he can't get votes then he can't win.

And the reason why he can't get votes or the deserved amount of attention is because the media is biased when it comes to someone who actually makes sense. The media thrives on idiots.

I don't care, Ron Paul won't get the nomination, that is a sad fact, but I refuse to cast my vote for a candidate who is going to continue this war, continue our unjust entangling in the internal affairs of other countries, and continue to pass legislation that violates the Constitution. We will see another 4 or possibly 8 years of disaster for America.

I would hope that our founding fathers would find it in their hearts to forgive our ignorance and destroying what they fought so hard to create. I'm blessed that America had the opportunity to finally have someone in the race for President that represents the other side of America, the minorities, those who are proud of the American heritage.

When I see what choices we are stuck with, all I can say is God help us. God have mercy on us.

Quarter 4 numbers are out and Ron Paul received more donations from the military that all other Republicans combined.

Looks as if the majority of the US, is looking for the just master, that promises to govern well. Oh well, with RP polling so low, I'm sure someone on TV will tell me who to vote for

Fox News is extremely biased because it caters so much to the Bush administration and anything to do with the new breed of Republicans. It is not fair and balanced. I do not believe that it gave the fair share of exposure to Ron Paul that he deserved.

I tell you the truth, that if Ron Paul totally drops out of race entirely by not running as an independent or as a Libertarian, then I'm voting for Obama. Because McCain is has bad news written all over him.

Here's an interesting read on this....

So, we find it is illegal for an active member of the armed forces to participate in partisan political activities. So all is not necessarily as it seems when it comes to what the Paulites tell us....

Ron Paul receives the endorsement of the Christian Business Daily.

Christian Business Daily

"...Christian Business Daily has long stood for policy that is rooted in solid Biblical principles – sound stewardship of financial and other resources, rewards for fruitfulness and productivity, and environments that allow for enterprise to flourish without undue taxation or public theft masquerading as compassion. This is why our editorial team has chosen to support a presidential candidate in the Republican primaries, Ron Paul.

The reasons for our selection of Congressman Paul are numerous, but can be summarized by what we esteem in his personal character, ethics, integrity, consistent sound economic and monetary policy record, and his grasp of foundational concepts that promote the freedoms that were hard-won by the Founders and codified by the framers of the U.S. Constitution...."

So, then, L. Ron is discovering that money doesn't equal votes. Can't Buy Me Veteran's Love.

Once again after Super Tuesday, it is evident by the return results that the American people still have not come around out from the pit of ignorance. Again, we have let our founding fathers down.

Were you REALLY expecting anything different Tom? Like a landslide victory for Paul perhaps?

I heard him interviewed on the radio yesterday. He said if his supporters want him to drop out he would. And if they want him to continue on he would. Looks like it's up to you and the rest if he goes third party. At least that was my impression.

Well, I can HOPE for the peace of Jesus to come over me, and KNOW the reality of that fact because it is written in the Word. I have seen it nowhere in Scripture to hope that RP was gonna win.

If L. Ron got credit for whining supporters, he'd be way out front. He's had the money, a strong, dedicated grassroots base. There is no excuse except that most people aren't buying his juice. It would help if he had a little charisma, but you still got to appeal to the Independents and Moderates. L. Ron doesn't. End of story.
