It has become evident that we need a thread that is dedicated to prayer request that anyone can use. Everyone creating a thread as it is now results in those threads being lost. Maybe this way the thread can stay close to page one and serve as a reminder to everyone to pray. I will start it off by mentioning a few that I remember. I know I will leave someone out. I am a geezer and memory is the first thing to .......well you understand so I will appoligize in advance. The list is

Godsgotanarmy
Christiansoldier
All of our service members
Kerrlaw's family
merain's father
My in-laws
ScreamingtenorFanMan

That's all my poor brain can remember. Please add any names I left off or as needed. If we all use the same thread maybe it will not get lost.

Hey Guys, I just got a phone call and it appears that my father-in-law has had a stroke. He can't move nor talk. Hospice, who has been helping with him, called in their chaplain to talk to the family. I am on my way north and do not know when I will be back. If he should go home I am going to have to sing his favorite song, When He Was On The Cross I Was On His Mind, at the funeral. Adam you know what I'm up against. The family and especially me ask for your prayers during this time. Fortunately, We know where he will be when he leaves this world. That is a comfort.

Sorry to hear about the stroke. We will be praying for all the family and safe travels. Does anyone on the forum know where the father-in-law lives?

qtman, you should title this thread "The Official Prayer Request Thread" since there are already so many individual threads with the same title as you have now. Then we'll know which thread to keep on the first page. [sm=thumbsup.gif]

DahBassSinger is having prostate cancer surgery next week and has requested prayer in the general Prayer and Praise Report folder.

Since I know that some SG posters do not venture beyond this folder, I wanted to mention it here.

I always enjoy his posts and want him back here soon.

I'm posting from my in-laws house. Things look a little better this morning. He has periods where he is lucid and seems to know everyone and then back the other way. I appreciate the prayers from everyone and Mrs. qtman said to relay her thanks to you for the prayers and ask that they continue. When I got here yesterday he knew who I was and said he wanted to go home. I told him he was home and he shook his head no and pointed up. Bless his heart.

I am very grateful for this post.... I am fairly new and really didn't know the needs, but haven't mentioned all my new friends in my prayers.

I would like to add a few of my own. 1) My husband is unsaved. His name is Larry.
2) My dear friend in FL, Leigh Anne, has a really bad disease which causes her arteries in her organs to spasm and collapse. Her kidneys have failed and she is on dialysis. Her mind is clear at the present but she has had moments of "forgetfulness"... (don't we all)... she is so young... around 45 years old, I think.
3) My son, Michael... he needs to trust the Lord and study the Word more. He hates to read, anything, and so doesn't even want to read his Bible.
4) My parents. I feel in my heart that I need to move back to WV to be close to them since they are elderly, but finances don't allow a move at present.
