Hi Ray how are you doing this evening?

Hi Trish! I have been thinking of you lately! Hope yo are having a good morning...

Tires (as usual) . We went out for supper, and then got groceries. We always go for groceries together. If I can't make it, she usually waits until I can.

Copper Coins? What a COOL name, Ray bro!

Maybe we can have a field trip one of these days.....y'all to here, or us to y'all.......have us a mass JAM!

I would love that!

Usually I shy away from open jam sessions. The sheetmusic is my crutch. When we go into an ad-lib free-for-all, I can't usually keep up, but its getting a little better over the years.

Lately I have been cipherin' music off CD's of things people want us to play, so I work them out. That's been a learning experience. I know I could jam a whole lot better now than I used to.

Hey Ray!!!

I guess I better get in here to see you. I was asking Ben this morning where you've been, that I haven't seen you in the threads that I had been seeing you in. So now I know...Overtime and busy busy!!

That's sweet about the grocery shopping. In this house it's almost like flipping a coin to see who has to go do it. LOL!!

Anyway, good to see you and know that everything is basically okay.

Hey Ray!!!!!!!

Benny made this thread come alive again so I had to post something....

Some of the guys in our church have a band that's performs coffee shops and such... they're called Sack Lunch... and they are very good!

((((((RAY))))))

Yeah, we've done nursing homes, youth centers (jail) and county fairs. We've threatened to do coffee shops too, but it hasn't happened yet. Perhaps just two of us could do that... me and one of the other guitar players/ lead vocalist. He's good enough to go pro if he wanted to.

I'm an accompaniest in both instrument and voice. I'm pretty good at fills and harmonies, but lousy at lead. It's just not my calling.

Hey Ray, hope all that overtime is not wearing you down.....

God Bless my friend

Hey Randy!

Yeah, more overtime this weekend. Working day shift on Saturday, and a double shift days/afternoons on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the work that needs done around here is piling up. Now on top of everything else, the grass needs mowed. ... badly. Plus, DW is telling me that I'm too tired and overdoing it too much.

The good news is that they have disassembled the equipment that blew up at work, and the damage isn't as bad as they had anticipated. Who knows how long this overtime will last. At least there is more than enough to pay for the Paul McCartney tickets I bought, and some wedding expenses.

Yeah, I've been busy, plus I can't access this site at work anymore. They have filtered out all (most of ) the religious web sites.

Don't burn yourself out, dear bro.....dw has a point, ya know?

If you HAVE to work those kind of hours, hire some local guy or teen, and let them mow!

REST.

Good to see your green faced mug here again.

Darcy's right. Use some of that OT money and hire the youth to do the hard stuff.

Hi Ray. I agree with Darcy. Pay one of the local youths to mow your lawn for you. Don't want you all burned out.

What? and deny myself an opportunity for some much-needed exercize? Besides, there aren't any yooots that I know of in the neighborhood that mow lawns. Anyway, it got done tonight. It was supposed to rain but it didn't, so I had time to mow.

DW offered to mow it. I dunno, her knees are so bad. Hate to even see her try. Anyways, its done now. It was almost knee-high.

Now for the rest of the things that need done before the wedding...

finish removal of old swimming pool. (I have help ligned up for that)
stain the deck
sand down and stain the wood swing
clean up the house.
do the carpets
paint the front room
put up a fence around the new garden
create new garden
get the boat in the water.

I'm sure it'll be fine.

Ray, I wish I lived closer. I'm pretty handy with a paint brush. I helped a friend stain their deck. I painted, he built the deck. I'm not real good with plants, but I'd have a go at that too, with some instruction. Cleaning up I could help with too.

Someone with a dozer I'd expect...

stain the deck

Hang a birdfeeder out and the droppings will be stain enough...

sand down and stain the wood swing

Put a pile of sand out right before a big wind blows then hang a bird feeder over it...
quote:

clean up the house.

Let the dogs in and they'll lick everything clean?
quote:

do the carpets

AFTER the dogs do their thing!
quote:

paint the front room

Bring Trish over...

put up a fence around the new garden

Plant corn. It'll act as a fence...

create new garden

Use the corn plants to shield lack of progress...

get the boat in the water.

Take it to the boat ramp and just let go. Oh. You want it to float?

I'm sure it'll be fine.

Follow my directions and it'll be alright!

With him, I might get away with putting a tranquilizer in his Texas Pete.....wonder what I'd have to tamper with to get YOU to rest, huh?

Paul McCartney tickets!!! Are you going to see Macca? You lucky dog you

Ain't it the truth about home projects. They are never ending .

I didn't know you relied on sheet music. I can sight read chord charts but I'm been a improviser from the word go, so I wing it most of the time. Used to come in handy working in the clubs with a jazz trio, and someone wants to sit in and sing something I don't know. I LEARNED how to listen and think on the fly. But those skills don't translate to the worship service

Glad to hear you're doing well........

Yo, RAYMUNDO!

Was thinking about you at practice on Sunday......you would have had fun, I bet!

We're working up some new stuff, and I now have a folder I DON'T have to share! I even brought my tambourine home to work on a couple of songs with the practice CD!

NO blonde jokes here, bitte.......
