The bargains would be in the stock market after the huge sell-off. There are plenty of stocks out there that are under-valued right now...for the brave.

There are some things I'd like to do, and I don't know where I'm going to get the money to do it. It kept me up last night thinking about it. I don't have spare money to throw around, other than when God tells me to.

We did a lot of babysitting this weekend. After that, we went to one of the big malls down in Toledo, Toys-R-Us, a couple book stores and Circuit City. We were ready to go home. [sm=rollingeyes.gif]

Alex is doing wonderfully well. He's got a runny nose. We think it's allergies. He's walking a lot now, and he's starting to stand up without help and without holding on to anything. Often he takes a few steps and then starts crawling. He's almost 11 months.

The little guy loves to eat. Not sure where he got that from. [sm=icon_smile_roll.gif]

He's very personable. The kids in Sunday School swoon over him. People are always asking to hold him and commenting about his big blue eyes.

Never would I have thought I'd have this much joy from being a grandpa, but we've really hit it off. [sm=icon_smile_approve.gif]

Tonight Tooshy and I are going to a seminar about food safety and inspections put on by the food police. It's being held at a library that's about half an hour away for us. There was an advertisement in the paper recommending it not only for restaurants, but also for churches and organizations that have public fundraisers. It should be good information both for our church and for the soup kitchen.

The church where we have the soup kitchen has a facility that is up to code. The food police don't bother them much. The one in our church is old and not up to code. Whenever we have a public event, the food police come. Typically they don't have too many comments, but the information should be helpful. They're very picky at the restaurants and publish a list in the newspaper with violations.
