So I think the eqation for that is:

BS (Blood Sugar) + I (Insulin) = Blur

That was my problem. I had too much BS.

No more shots for Ray?

Not unless the carbs get under-estimated and the BS goes high. Then I have to take a shot, but no more shots every day.

Diabetes is such a difficult thing to live with.... I know first hand. It makes me feel like food is my enemy

Now food is already my enemy, at least stomach wise anyway.

I think of it as being in food purgatory...paying for the food sins of the past.

We're doing OK. Tooshy is still in a lot of pain from her knee. We have another appointment in about a month, and she is going to try another set of Synvisc injections.

I've lost another two pounds, for a total of 30 since the heart attack. A stress test and echo is scheduled for May 29th.

Tooshy's mother is still in a nursing home. She had a collapsed lung after surgery, and is still on O2. At some point, she is going to have some radiation treatments. Hopefully she'll be able to move home again soon.

DD#2 and her hubby are still together. He has lost his job.

Scooter is doing great.

They're both fine. Brownie isn't quite as big as we had anticipated at this point. He must be about six months old now. Maybe he'll hit a growth spurt. Q-Tip and Brownie seem to be constantly playing. That's fine for Brownie, but I think Q probably gets tired of it.

Congrats Ray on the weight loss!!
(((((Ray)))))

(((((TooShy))))
Will continue to pray about her knees. That has just got to be frustrating. I know when I have any chronic issue I feel "down" and it's hard to feel motivated.

((((DD2 and Hubby)))))
I was just wondering the other day about their status. Will add prayers for a job for her hubby.

I'm watching the last half hour or so of "A Time To Kill". That's another movie that I don't have a problem watching multiple times.
There are very few that I feel that way about.

OH! I almost forgot!!
Ray, Tell TooShy that I am praying for her mom. I hope things are going much better recovery wise for her beginning right now!

Never seen that movie, but Tooshy and I both like Sandra Bullock. I'll add it to our Netflix list.

And I like Matthew McC....however you spell it, too.
The movie has a lot of food for thought in it.

I hope you saw my edit about TooShy's mom. I think you were posting while I was editing. Just want to be sure you know she is being lifted up.

Bonus!! The Ron Clark Story is on now right after Time To Kill. Story about a teacher who went into Harlem to teach and helped the kids to learn how to excel despite their circumstance.

That's another good movie. Now all I have to do is getting to cleaning while it's on and I will feel like I really "accomplished" something today.

Well it was on a main street, so I didn't get the full effect of it at all. Kinda funny, this was back in the 80's being there with a friend. We were in a tough area near or in Harlem and when we went to the store, the guy there was like you shouldn't be here.

Now what the guy didn't know what that my caucasion friend from Boston actually lived in a minority neighborhood, so it did not phase him at all. We drove all the way up to West 200th street or so before turning back. We survived no problem, not that I would recommend other people doing that though.

Congratulations on the weight loss. Thirty pounds in such a short time? That's awesome! Way to go, Ray!

Mike, I have people telling me I shouldn't be walking in my church's neighbourhood but I ignore them and do it anyway. Often there is more fear for such places than is truly warranted.

Well true Maggie, however you still have to be careful though. When I went to school in a bad neighborhood, my mom always warned me about walking around there. I didn't listen, and it was a good year and a half before anything happened, but when it did happen though, I ended up with a black eye!

I do believe that we need to trust God though, too!
