OOoooo I've seen Jars of Clay! It was an excellent concert. Newsboys and Jeremy Camp were there too. We took a girl from the youth band and her mom, and had a blast. Must have been almost two years ago. Time flies. [8|]

Hay Ray how is it going? good to see you!

Well I'm off again to cruz through the threads here. It takes me so much longer than it did in the old CW and then I get side tracked so easily. So who knows where I'll pop up next? I don't even know. Maybe I need the rescue kitties or something to come and get me more often or somethihng LOL!

cherish405 -> RE: revolving around the son (4/17/2005 7:12:31 AM)

How are you and dh doing, Ray?

smiley54128 -> RE: revolving around the son (4/17/2005 7:25:40 AM)

Hi Ray, Praying all is well. Have a good day.

Darcyjo -> RE: revolving around the son (4/17/2005 9:14:21 AM)

Morning, Ray buddy![:)]

The concert last night was EXCELLENT.....and it looks like the new Jars album is worth it. They used hymn lyrics, and did 'em up their own way.....wonderful! Also had Ashley Cleveland on stage with them, and the woman can STILL blow! Wowsie!

Of course, I spent too much on CDs. [sm=icon_smile_blush.gif][sm=icon_smile_approve.gif]

rayofson -> RE: revolving around the son (4/17/2005 8:37:40 PM)

Glad to hear you had a good time Darcy. When we saw them, it was at a County Fair. We were about seven rows back, but kinda off to one side. The music was good, but I really enjoyed hearing Jeremy Camp's testimony. Someday I'd like to see Third Day. Our band does several of their songs.

DW is doing OK. We are both getting burned out a little this week. She has a lot to do with things going on at church. She's pretty swamped right now.

I'm just tired. She asked if I was feeling OK. It's rough when you can only sleep five or six hours at night. I'm used to that, but stack all this overtime on top of it... [sm=silly.gif]

Checked my blood pressure. It was 148/88 which sounds kinda high, but for me that's not that bad. [sm=eek.gif]

Darcyjo -> RE: revolving around the son (4/17/2005 8:48:56 PM)

I've seen Third Day, what, five times? [:D]

And I'll see them this summer at King's Fest.....Mac Powell is one of my favorite songwriters, the lyrics really get me.

And of course, "Consuming Fire", one of my all time faves, is done at EVERY one of their live shows.....makes ya wanna throw your arms up in the air......oooooh......

Are you going to be able to get a decent night's sleep tonight, bro? I got some extra sleep today, and maybe I won't feel so worn out tomorrow....[sm=icon_smile_roll.gif]

rayofson -> RE: revolving around the son (4/17/2005 9:33:23 PM)

My favorite Third Day song...

Take My Life

(Offerings II, 2003)

words by Mac Powell/music by Third Day

[sm=icon_smile_sing.gif]

Please take from me my life
When I don’t have the strength
To give it away to You
Please take from me my life
When I don’t have the strength
To give it away to You, Jesus

cherish405 -> RE: revolving around the son (4/18/2005 2:24:28 AM)

I've got a third day CD around here. A friend introduced it to me. On the Christian radio stations that I listen to online, they play a lot of third day too, which is cool. Even John likes it!

Ray, you're blood pressure doesn't sound too bad. The first number sounds a little high, but it's the second one you've really got to watch. I'm sorry you and dw are getting burned out. I hope you can both get some decent rest in amongst all the things that you're involved in at the moment.

Darcyjo -> RE: revolving around the son (4/18/2005 6:10:27 AM)

Good choice of song, bro......hard to sing for real, but needful, sometimes.

I hope that your day will be a good one!

Darcyjo -> RE: revolving around the son (4/19/2005 9:16:20 PM)

Wherefore ART thou, Ray?[;)][:D]

cherish405 -> RE: revolving around the son (4/19/2005 9:44:52 PM)

Maybe working, but hopefully resting.

rayofson -> RE: revolving around the son (4/19/2005 10:02:48 PM)

I'm right here! [:D]

Oh man, yesterday was band practice. It went pretty well. Tonight I just spent some time with DW. We tried to do as little as possible. [sm=kiss.gif] Tomorrow night is bible study. The next is the guitar workshop. [sm=icon_smile_faint.gif]

More problems at work. I have no idea what hours we will be on as of tomorrow. It all depends on... well, several things. They'll be looking for volunteers to work through the night (and it won't be me [sm=biggrin.gif] )

[sm=crazy.gif]

Smiley777 -> RE: revolving around the son (4/20/2005 2:23:08 AM)

Hi Pammy! [8D]

Good to see everyone here. As you can all tell, I've been awfully busy lately. There's a light at the end of the tunnel, but it's the headlight I think. [sm=eek.gif]

I successfully didn't have to work over night. Usually there are enough overtime hounds that I don't have to worry about it. [&:] Tomorrow will be just an eight-hour day so that I have enough time to make it to the guitar clinic.

DW is tired and sore. Her back always hurts when she puts the church newsletter together. It's a lot of work, and this month is extra thick. [sm=tongue.gif]

Yeah, well I'm just blessed by God right now to be working in a place where I don't have to do rotating shiftwork. We did that for a lot of years. Here, we just work day-shift unless something comes up. I don't like working nights at all, but SOME people want electricity 24 hours a day. [sm=smile-l.gif]

Hey Denny! Glad you found me. Sorry I don't have much time to give right now. In fact, I should have been to bed about an hour ago. I just replaced the cpu fan in this here 'puter. The old one was about shot. [8|]

Of course the new one didn't come with the right hardware, [sm=unsure.gif] so the new one is tie-wrapped in there right now. [sm=biggrin.gif]

In the words of the famous Red Green: "This is only temporary... unless it works." [sm=icon_smile_idea.gif]

randyclay -> RE: revolving around the son (4/20/2005 10:28:18 PM)

The nerve of SOME people to want electricity 24 hrs a day......

We had some underground lines go bad in my area, the primary and the backup. Helco was clueless......[8|]

You started off as a junior member, so I gave you some stars and rectified the situation. Couldn't have one of our prolific posters as a "junior" member[;)]

Thanks Randy! [sm=cool.gif]

Yeah, I was reading about those scores. It's kinda bizarre, but maybe it keeps a troll or two on good behavior?

cherish405 -> RE: revolving around the son (4/21/2005 6:08:02 AM)

Hey there, stranger. Wow, things really ARE busy for you, aren't they? I hope you can get some time in there to relax at some stage. DW as well.
