Prayed for baby Charles .. and the avatar will remind me to pray when I see it.

Re: chicken. I thaw mine in the fridge during the day.

I've never bleached anything. I clean the counters where I used the chicken though with anti-bacterial spray, and I wash my knives and cutting board and whatever other utensils with dish soap. I've never had any issues.

I'm praying for Charles, Sharon. {{{{{{{{Sharon, Charles, Charles' parents}}}}}}}}}

About blowing things up, my pressure cooker blew up a few years ago. Thankfully no one was in the kitchen at the time or there could have been serious burns. I can't remember what I was cooking but whatever it was sprayed EVERYWHERE! What a job to clean!

We also had a coke explode in our brand-new, less-than-a-month-old van when it was accidentally left there in the winter. There were brown icicles hanging from the ceiling--hundreds of them! and brown ice everywhere else. It took a lot of hard work to get that cleaned up before dh saw it and in the end I took it to be professionally cleaned. Dh never knew what happened, thankfully.

When I was in the dorms a friend put a soda in the freezer part of my fridge. It froze (of course). Then it was pulled out and put on the counter to thaw and eventually drink. It was picked up to move and it exploded all over the room. Hit the ceiling and everything. We cleaned up the room and everywhere we could reach. 2 years later I was visiting someone on that floor and peaked my head into the room. I could still see soda on the ceilings.

One I've shared before: I made brownies and put the pan on the stove to cool. I decided to make some hot tea also. I turned the burner on. About 10 min later I was wondering why my water wasn't even making noise in the tea pot. As I was walking toward the kitchen, the brownie pan exploded all over the place. The glass shards landed on the carpet and started a fire. There was a fire in the stove burner as well. I was thrilled that I didn't decide to check on my water 30 seconds earlier. I would've been hit by the glass.

One of my sons loves to blow things up. We have a hole in our concrete patio to prove it.

Thank you Sue, Christine, Ray and Maggie.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am home from work now to get ready to head out to a funeral and there was this from Charlie's Aunt Susie...
"I just received a call from my mom. My brother, Tom, reported that Charlie seems to be doing better. His fever has dropped to 99 and he is much happier today.
Please continue praying for his continued good health.
We all appreciate your prayers."
Whooo Hooo!! I am so glad and pray that this was just a little bump in the road.
Thank you all again! (((((((Everyone))))))))
Will be back later.
Charlie update
Just talked to Grandma Maryruth and Charlie does, in fact have meningitis. They don't know for sure if it is bacterial or viral but have him on antibiotic. Charlie will be in the hospital at least another 14 to 21 days. The family is so grateful for all the continued prayers.
~~~~~~~~~~~

I don't remember blowing anything up per se, just my mom shaking flour and water in a shaker to make gravy and the cap coming off and flour and water going all over the counter, ceiling, wall and floor. My gravy now is always by McCormick.

I've started a few fires in the burner pans and on the burners. Does that count for something?

Has he met Darcy?

Glad Charles is getting better. What a pain that he has meningitis. Hospital is the best place for him to be right now though.

Awwww, Baby Charles looks like a sweetie! I'm sending up prayers for him and mom and dad.
--------

I blew up a plastic baby bottle when my eldest was a baby. It was a middle of the night feeding and I accidentaly put the microwave at 20 minutes instead of 20 seconds. Luckily the mess was confined to the microwave.

We never had a microwave, and I was too scared to shove my head in a gas oven.

I do not recall ever blowing up anything. I have cracked a few canning jars. Does that count?
I once had to call the fire department because my home was full of smoke.
I was boiling some soup bones, and left to take the kids someplace. When we got home, the house was all full of smoke! I figured it was the soup bones and told them. But they decided to pull my fireplace and chimmney apart...then they said it must have been the soupbones. They placed fans in my windows to clean out the smoke. We were then allowed back into the house. My kettle was burned dry as was the bones. Had to throw everything out! Then I had clean everything in the house. Closets where the clothes were hanging smelled yucky even. I have not made homemade soup since!!

Hi Sharon
Still praying for baby Charles
How ya doing BTW

Just a quick pop in... I have not heard anymore last night about Baby Charlie, so I will assume that things are doing okay and that his fever has remained down. I will let you all know when I hear something. Thank you for continued prayers.

Sorry. That didn't come out right. That made it sound like I wanted to blow me up. My bad. Wasn't meant to sound like that at all. If you wanted to cook anything in the oven, you had to light it right down the very back of the oven. That scared me, so I wouldn't have been cooking anything to blow up. Any clearer? I think I'll just drop that subject.

Hopefully no news is good news, eh Sharon?
