Here's the recipe I used. It's a tradition in KY, where I lived from 10-12yo.

Here is further info and recipe changes. The canned peaches thing has me worried!

Probably lasagna tonight.

We had supper last night at about 8:30 - went to the Ascension Day service at church, and since Kevin came straight from work, we didn't have time to eat beforehand. (I did give him some cookies and a granola bar to tide him over.) I had a grilled chicken sandwich, which was very yummy, and half of Kevin's fries. Kevin had a ONE POUND burger (two 8-oz patties) and the other half of the fries. Burp!

I had to make a trip to Walmart and had HB meat thawed so I picked up a Gordita Kit. So we had gorditas. Tonight...who knows.

Pizza Hut. Their Toscani pasta is surprisingly good.

We had an international dinner at church tonight. I think I only got to the Samoan and Greek tables before I was so stuffed that I couldn't fit anymore in. It really was beautiful food.

One of the dishes was a potato salad with beetroot mixed into it... pink potato salad!!! And it was yummy!!!!!

I don't know what to call it and I have never done it before so we will call it Italian Chicken. I through some boneless, skinless chicken thighs in the crockpot w/ cut up potatoes. I sprinkled dried Italian dressing packet over that and then covered with water. I am going to cook it on low all day and see what the finished product will be.

That sound good, Chelle!

We will have fajitas, if I cook. There is some question about dinner due to a church meeting tonight and a business dinner for dh.

Speaking of which, I'll be returning to Dinner Afare this Saturday. I skipped last month, but I'm looking forward to it again.

The italian chicken sounds good. Not sure if the kids would like it.

Tonight will be eggs of some sort. I have a bunch that expire in a day or two.

I am going this Saturday too! I think Shane is going to come with me also. The menu looks good, doesn't it?

Well, I brought Laura over to the dark side, maybe I can bring you too.

Here is the link for their website and May's menu.

You go to their site, they have a station for each dinner you want. You assemble the dinner there, bring home and freeze. On the night you want to eat the dinner, you do the actual cooking, but no prep work or trips to the grocery store.

It's good fun, and I've tried out a lot of recipes I wouldn't have thought to try before.

Dinner A'fare

We use another chain called "Simply Supper", it's not as gourmet, but it was good when I was on bedrest and couldn't cook, but still wanted decently healthy meals. Now, I just use the Dinner A'fare menu for inspiration...

Chelle, how did your Italian chicken turn out? What did you serve with it?

Well it is still cooking, we are eating it tonight for dinner. I plan on making glazed carrots to go with it so the whole meal will be chicken, potatoes, and carrots. I thought about rice, but to much starches is probably not good for my figure...lol! I will let you know how it turns out though.

Pizza on a cheater Walmart shell. I prefer homemade crust, but am sick of my family whining.
