I have a bottle of "Indian Butter Chicken cooking sauce" and the instructions say to stir-fry chicken and add sauce.
I have never made anything like this before...would I add any veggies to the chicken and sauce?

What do I serve with it??

Sure, add stir fry veggies and serve with rice. Sounds yummy!

Thanks Donna,
I'm not big on indian food, I really don't like curry, so I'm hoping I enjoy this. It is something that hubby would like to have, so I'll try it for him!

I may add some broccoli and rice.

Hot hamburgers. Like THIS. Broccoli/cauliflower on the side.

eta: Fresh strawberry shortcake for dessert. Although I didn't feel like running to the store for shortcakes, so I just whipped up some homemade whole wheat pie crust strips. Mm!

Rachel, that looks GOOD. Did you make your own fries for it?

Nooo, I bought frozen. But the one from restaurant, in the picture, they do cut their own fries. Those things are SO GOOD. Mine are a sorry replica, LOL!

I made a parsley/cilantro/tomato/lemon juice salad. It's Greek and I had it at a place last week. Well, I modified it by adding the cilantro.
Some people in our church went fishing in Alaska and I finally baked the Halibut filetes tonight. I've never cooked that before and it turned out great! I sauteed minced garlic and onion in a tablespoon of butter. Added 1/4 cup lowfat milk w/1 TBS flour to 1/2 cup chicken broth as a sauce to pour over the filetes after baking with drizzeled butter, salt and pepper.

White rice, green beans, and cubed cantaloupe.

Food is very economical down here.

Is it just hamburger under there, or is there gravy or any sauce mix? It looks like something my hubby would like.

I made THIS one time, and it was really good. That was some of the best chili I've ever made, I added a few extra veggies though. I liked using the oven baked wedges...it was pretty good.

We're having grilled chicken, eggplant, zuc, and yellow squash. I'll probably do a mustard-based marinade. It'll be another Witch Hazel moment.

The restaurant version has a big slice of Texas Toast, a large sirloin patty, brown gravy poured over, then a huge heap of fresh-cut fries, then more gravy.

My version has toast of some sort (usually whole wheat hamburger buns or something), ground beef, fries and gravy on top.

Dinner at church tonight: chicken or beef sandwich. I'm betting a "beef sandwich" is a hamburger. It's anyone's guess!

This broccoli salad recipe has always been a hit with my family:
I use two bunches of broccoli and and a head of cauliflower, but you can use just broccoli if you like.
add:
1 cup seedless grapes, or raisins. I like both together if grapes are in season. When grapes are expensive, raisins alone are fine.
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup sliced almonds
1/2 bottle real bacon bits, or fry and crumble a few strips of bacon

Dressing:
1 cup Hellman's Mayo (light version works fine)
1/3 cup sugar
1 T vinegar
Mix dressing and pour over veggie fruit mix. Refrigerate several hours or overnight. The dressing is also good for cole slaw.

2js, thanks for posting that. I had some of that salad recently and it was SO GOOD.

Tonight will be a concoction of brown rice cooked with tomato sauce, cajun seasoning, bell pepper, tomatoes, onion and smoked sausage. Probably some okra tossed in if I have some in the freezer.
