My disappointment is just now finding out that all this time, you believed that Walker311 took something from you. I wished that you would have said something to me way back then if you felt that way because I would have done anything to make it up to you.

Dearest Darryl, I never felt you took something from me. It was a fun game of tug-of-war, and I enjoyed the bantering. I knew it was all in fun, and I was relieved beyond belief that you weren't mad at me for my blunder. I will always look back at that time with fond memories, even though at times I blush to remember what a troublemaker I used to be. [:)]

Ellie-Mae -> RE: Lisa's Break Room (4/27/2007 9:34:17 PM)

aaaaah, you should have milked Darryl for some fudge! LLisa, Are you getting soft?

BTW, I am glad to be in the same thread as Darryl. I seem to have lost my ability to have fun being silly or causing trouble on these forums. I miss it.

Consecrated2God -> RE: Lisa's Break Room (4/28/2007 11:08:36 AM)

Oh, goodness, you're right! I should have!

Actually, Darryl, forget everything I said. I'm terribly hurt by everything you did and I could only forgive you if you sent me fudge. I rethought my position and you're right, you probably did take something from me. I just didn't know it until you mentioned it. But strangely enough, I do have this empty feeling inside. I'm not quite sure, but I think fudge would probably fill it up. [8D]

LisaP, the problem you and I both have is that we've both been moderators for awhile. It's kind of like becoming a parent. When you are a kid, getting into mischief is fun. Then when you have kids of your own you turn into a killjoy. It's the same thing. We've both been on the "other side" now and we've lost our ability to play.

[:(] I know what you mean.

Consecrated2God -> RE: Lisa's Break Room (5/1/2007 11:48:36 AM)

I think I'm going to have to start making lists of things I want to get accomplished each day to keep me focused and on track.

Today I want to: Make a dessert of some kind, clean my room, take the kids on a walk, work on designing a quilt, and of course get the regular housework done and kids schoolwork done.

I sold some sweatshirts on Ebay today! I was suprised I got as much out of them as I did. The other two clothing items I had didn't even get any bids, but three sweatshirts sold for $7.61. I thought the capri pants I had would sell, and they didn't. They were really cute. That's okay--I decided I'd rather keep them anyway. [:D]

.Pammy -> RE: Lisa's Break Room (5/1/2007 12:42:32 PM)

I don't "get" ebay. Is it really worth it? Don't you have to pay to ship them? If you only sold them for 7.61, then what are you really getting?

Oh, and I still say they're called "pedal pushers"! (Generational snobbery!)

zoebob -> RE: Lisa's Break Room (5/1/2007 2:21:13 PM)

When you sell something on Ebay you generally add on shipping charges. So if she sold them for $7.61 then there was probably a shipping and handling charge tacked on. This is usually listed in the sale ad so people know what they are paying. Some sellers have a USPS calculator that tells you exact shipping charge and others just post a rate which may be more than actual shipping costs to cover packaging, etc.

So 7.61 was her profit? Or she has to pay for the shipping out of that? I'm so dense. Sounds like so much trouble to me. You've got the trip to the post office, packing it up. But I guess if that's what you like to do . . .

zoebob -> RE: Lisa's Break Room (5/1/2007 3:03:39 PM)

From what she said I would guess that $7.61 is her profit and shipping costs are above that.

I figure taking it to the post office and getting some money back is better than just throwing away perfectly good clothes or whatever. Going to the post offict is no harder really than dropping things off at good will and you get something for it.

Good point!

Consecrated2God -> RE: Lisa's Break Room (5/1/2007 3:51:36 PM)

Yeah, I charged $8 for shipping on the shirts. Someone just gave them to me, and it probably won't even cost quite $8 to ship them. I'm happy to make a few dollars on something I won't wear and I didn't have anything invested in! [:)]

Whew, the house smells like burnt chocolate. Sarah was making no-bake cookies for her 4-H project and turned the burner on when all she had in the saucepan was cocoa. I told her next time to add the milk and butter and sugar and mix it together before she turns on the heat!

dance4joy -> RE: Lisa's Break Room (5/4/2007 8:36:49 AM)

Good morning! Happy Friday! How's my favorite big sis doing today?

I'm really tired this morning, but that's probably because I haven't had any coffee yet. I ran out of filters for my coffee pot yesterday and haven't had a chance to get anymore. [&o] I'm not sure if it's worth trying to drink the sludge they have here at work.

We went on a little mini-vacation last weekend to Wisconsin Dells. . .kind of a celebration of Matt's new job/early anniversary trip. It was really nice! We got a really good package deal for the Kalahari Waterpark and Resort, $119 for 1 night at the hotel, tickets to the indoor waterpark (which is HUGE), 100 arcade tokens, free pizza and drinks, and movie tickets to their MegaPlex Theater. We went to see Meet the Robinsons and since we went to a late show we had the entire theater to ourselves! It was great [:D] The movie was really good as well. We also went on a Duck Boat tour through the lower dells. If you want to know what a Duck Boat is click >here<
Oh, and of course we made sure to bring home some real Wisconsin cheese, and some fudge, and a little maple syrup. [&:]

Consecrated2God -> RE: Lisa's Break Room (5/4/2007 12:07:27 PM)

Sounds like fun! Happy anniversary! It's been, what, four years now?

We're going to go on a two-night camping trip for our anniversary in a couple of weeks, at Turkey Run. This will be the first time away from the kids for two nights. They're getting big enough I think we can pull it off. Timothy's doing really well potty training finally!

We have been doing a lot of yard work the last couple of days. We dug up all the rocks around the flower bed, tilled it, planted petunias and mulched around them, painted the porch posted, and pressure washed the house, and planted grass in all the bare spots and filled in the holes in the yard. It's looking nice!

That sounds like so much fun, Emily! I would love to get away with my sweetie and do something like that. I have two nursing so I don't think it's happening any time soon. Someday...[:D]

Lisa, who are you leaving your kids with?

Ellie-Mae -> RE: Lisa's Break Room (5/4/2007 12:59:48 PM)

That sounded really wonderful Em. I really liked that movie too. It made me cry.I loved the dinosuar. I would have loved to see them do more with him. Maybe there will be a sequal. I was really mad that after all the hype that they only released 92 3-d versions to the theatres. that isn't even 2 per state! They said nothing about that with all of their hype to all those millions of kids that wouldn't get to see it in 3-d!

anyway...

When are you coming to MY house. I feel really bad. I finally get a couple of sisters, and they never come to see me. <sniff, sniff>[:(]

Oh what a good idea! I've never been a big fan of camping myself (mostly because of my extreme fear of bees and spiders) but I know you guys will enjoy it and it will be great to get some time alone together. This will be your. . .11th anniversary? Is that right? Yeah, it'll be 4 for us at the end of June. Doesn't seem like it's been nearly that long! Time flies when you're having fun.

Oooh, can't wait to see your new improved yard. [:D] We just mulched over most of our little patio plot again this year. . .and bought a couple of planters instead. They're much easier to maintain and this way we don't have to do as much (if any) weeding.

Wow Donna, two at once? That's pretty amazing. . .sounds like quite a challenge. I would totally lose track of how much they had eaten and whose turn it was. LOL!

Awww, sorry! [:(] I really wanted to come, but when we started figuring up all the expenses and how long it was going to take to get passports, and the fact that Matt won't get any vacation time for the first 3 months of his new job it just wasn't going to work out. We still hope to do it sometime though so we'll keep ya posted!

Ellie-Mae -> RE: Lisa's Break Room (5/4/2007 1:09:05 PM)

I am glad that you had fun.

Remember that we are a free place to stay at.[:D]

Consecrated2God -> RE: Lisa's Break Room (5/4/2007 1:29:05 PM)

Someday when we get a decent income and a decent vehicle, Ellie-Mae, we will get up there and visit you! By the way, did you get my e-mail I sent a couple of days ago?

Donna, Erick's parents will be keeping the kids for a couple of days. The kids love staying there, and they've spent the night there a couple of times already so they'll be fine.

Emily, I'm sure Donna's babies keep track of when they need to eat by themselves! [;)]

Oh yeah, it made me cry too! And I think Matt even got a little choked up. I absolutely loved Goob's character. . .poor little kid. I was distressed to discover what lay in his future (I don't want to spoil it for anyone so that's all I'm going to say), but I'm proud to say I actually figured it out before Matt did! And at least it all turned out good in the end.

LOL, Lisa! Yes, they do. Levi does at least. Hannah thinks she needs to be constantly attached.[:@]

It's really not hard to remember. I do try to make Hannah wait until Levi has had his fill, since that is his only food right now.

Ellie-Mae -> RE: Lisa's Break Room (5/4/2007 2:25:39 PM)

Guess what we got today!

dance4joy -> RE: Lisa's Break Room (5/4/2007 2:30:22 PM)

What? What?? Tell me tell me tell me!

PrincessDonna -> RE: Lisa's Break Room (5/4/2007 2:32:39 PM)

My quilt?[;)]
